There’s discussions going on in the Leaf forum that I’ve been following during the playoffs, and it seems like most people wants to pay Marner 14 mil, while blaming Matthews for Marner’s troubles. What do you FLA fans think of all this?

Don’t really want him. Definitely not for the cabbage he’s gonna want.

I get Marner is a very talented hockey player.

The core is setup to date to where Barkov is at 10, Chuk at 9.5 and then Reino at 8.625.
Marner on the open market will exceed Barkov's AAV, and I don't think Zito would want to add someone like Marner for over 10mil.
At this stage the core is set. Just need to keep revolving cap space for depth replacements, and potentially keeping Ekblad and Bennett. If Zito can re-sign both we would be tight on cap till Bob's contract expires next season.

I'd rather keep Bennett + Roidblad over adding Marner

When watching Leafs play against a good team like Florida, it’s crazy to think that Matthews, Marner etc are actually stars of the NHL

Someone posted recently that, combined, Marner has been in 19 games 5, 6 and 7.
He only has 6 points in these 19 games.
