F$&k them. All the shit talking going on because they were up 2-0 in the series, and now they are nowhere to be found? Soft as their team. Respect to the ones that stick around.
I was more talking about the handful of cool ones we converse with on here

They’ll never be us! Their players are losers who will NEVER commit their bodies to the levels and instances that are required from them in the playoffs.

If they let Marner and Tavares walk, and bring in new blood, I don't see why not. We were not "us" totally until spring of 2023, and even then it took the Boston series to really convince ourselves that we were a great team and to show us how to win. I mean Tkachuk was an absolute megastar that playoffs and the whole season, but they could become something close to us.

CP24, a Toronto news station, interviewed some Maple Leafs fans in Maple Leaf Square after Game 5.

Two guys said that the Maple Leafs will "Physically punish the Panthers in Game 6 and Nylander will start scoring multiple goals a game on breakaways".

Then a girl was interviewed, and she said that "We will embarrass Florida in Game 6".
Great to see some more positivity among Maple Leaf fans! Some have given up.

Hopeful Leaf fans who know it's not over until it's over. Why couldn't Toronto comeback?

I gotta respect their unwavering optimism in the face of a potential embarrassing end to the Marner era.

As it should be. That's the best thing a fan can do. At the end of the day, despite a rather embarrassing showing in game 5, it's still a 3-2 series and they could very well win the next two and move on. If they do that, then they can look at game 5 and say "yeah well that sucked, but we won anyway." Water under the bridge.

It wouldn't be embarrassing for the fans; perhaps, not even for Marner.

Exactly, that is how I feel without any embarrassment.

Why do the Leafs get 3 days in between games, but the Panthers only get 2 days of rest for their home game

:sarcasm:

That's a blessing in disguise. Less days between games makes it harder for the typical Leaf fan to make the trip to Florida.

Geez Louise. What a clunker.

That Stolarz injury changed the series. And the core players disappearing again.

IMO, dont think the Leafs are a changed team this year in the playoffs. That series vs Ottawa racking up goals was against Ullmark who is among the worst playoffs goalies in recent times. If Sens had a good goalie, Leafs would had lost.
