Bruins know odds are very long, but they see a path forward

“The message from us is ‘We need to win one in a row, three times,’” said interim coach Cassidy. “We’ve also been a team that, as recently as the end of the year has won six in a row. So guys know we’re capable of stringing together wins. The mental part of the challenge? We’ve done it recently. And the way we’ve lost these games, it’s the difference of a play or two. It’s not like they’ve dominated. We don’t feel that way, I can’t speak to how they feel. But for us, it’s a matter of a play or two here or there that we haven’t been able to make.”

Do we need to put someone in for Fenway today? I'm a poor substitute, but that's kinda the theme of our playoffs, so I can throw up (pun intended) a GDT if necessary.

Whatever happens, I am proud of the fight they had in them till the bitter end. It's a positive season even if we lose tonight. That said, give them hell, boys.

Thanks Sooshii!

One game at a time, just win tonight. The depleted defense has done a reasonable job - the forwards need to score some goals...it might help!

Let's go Bruins!! Don't let the season end tonight!

not to sound overly optimistic but both these teams are pretty streaky when it comes to wins and losses. I feel if the Bruins can sneak away with a win this one is going 7 hands down.

this one is going to have to be taped via Betamax, I will be travelling a short distance out of town being asked to speak for a particular function and going to really have to try to avoid any and all sports talk to avoid the spoilers

We need somebody to step up and make this game their own. Rask has the ability, as does the duo of 63-37. We've seen them do it before, no better time than now.

More shots ,more net drive, more traffic in front of net.Its not rocket science.A good offence is a good defence. And HIT everyone HIT! Show them videos from 2011 it's suppose to be a war out there, not the ice Capades. Do all that you will probably win .If they still loose than so be it,you gave it your best, good job we will get them next year.GO!Bruins

Just don't go out by losing 4 in a row. I don't have much hope for a series win, but I'll be satisfied if they can make a long series out of it.

One shift, one period at a time.

No it is not.
The D has been fine.
The Offense needs to get untracked.

Missing Carlo and Krug hurts our transition game big time. Defense isn't only about preventing goals.

I am happy with this team even if they lose. The Ottawa system ruins talent hockey and injuries were brutal.

They will be better next season even without roster upgrades.

Let's see what happens tonight!

Spot on. It's a mental game now, their backs are against the wall, how will they respond? Hopefully by doing the little things that win hockey games, and they do it well for 60 minutes.

Win the puck battles. Win the shift. Win the Period. Win the game.
