Remember when we played Boston in the regular season and we were physically punishing them? That would be nice right about now.

I don't know why everyone is so surprised at all the penalties. This is how the joke that is the NHL operates. Everyone whines and cries in the last game, that Crosby dove and drew a penalty and that the game was "gifted" to the Pens because of it.

We all should have know that the refs would be looking for ANYTHING to call the Pens for and the Pens themselves SHOULD have know that. Malkin taking a lazy hooking call, Orpik roughing guys up after the whistle, Cooke tripping guys behind the play. Sure, the Isles embellished those calls but the refs don't care, they are looking to "even things up" after the last game.

The NHL reffing is BS, but the Pens have to be smarter than that, yet for some reason they continuously fall into this trap of taking dumb penalties.

But besides the penalties, this team continues to look like garbage. They continue to allow the Isles to cross the blueline with speed, while giving them a 6 foot buffer. They continue to be unable to find a way through the neutral zone as the Isles clog it up. They continue to turn the puck over and feed the Isles' rush. That turnover from Kunitz in the offensive zone is inexcusable. Nabby has been weak with his glove hand and Koon had an opportunity to take the shot, but instead forced a pass to nobody and it resulted in an odd man rush for the Isles. STOP DOING THAT! They continue to be unable to clear the zone and it directly led to the Islander goal.

It's the same ****, different game. I feel like I am watching the Flyers series from last year all over again. Stop TALKING about fixing things and actually fix them!

I am so glad that Tavares can't pass the puck... take away his shooting lanes and MAKE him be a playmaker... I'll take that chance over him being the shooter...

Letang was good, I think the Norris nomination is helping.

Also I think the game commentary is making it seem that we are worse than we are... they are really playing up to the Isles... and really, what a great story for them if the Isles win... Every Isles play is great and ours doesn't get that much of a mention because it's expected.

We're not that bad, it wasn't that bad of a period... Fleury was a bit shaky but he made some good saves.

Loads to build on here... GPG 2nd Period!!!

Adams goes down to block shot in high slot. If Glass does that -- or anything -- on Strait, #Isles have zero goals right now. #TribHKY

I thought this was funny in a sad, pathetic kind of way.

It's almost as if all the Penguins players dodged that puck. I have no clue how it made it through those bodies.
