Rangers are not playing well AT ALL. It's about their play. We all know they can win games. Pitt was better for almost the entire year until relatively late where they dialed it back just a bit. THIS IS ALL OK. We will either knock them out of the playoffs next year or they won't even make it at al.

And how many of us REALLY thought this team would do damage? The only real chance we had was going on an Igor run since the kids are young and we are missing a few pieces.

Re-sign Copp (he has to be kept) and let's see if we can get some growth from the kids and fill in some other small pieces.

Nonsense. The Penguins are a pretty mediocre team with awful goaltending.

What they ARE, however, is a team with clearly more desire right now. They lucked into winning a game and took all of that momentum and are still riding on it.

Anyone saying this team sucks or the Rangers are bad or whatever is an idiot. Flat out. Just log the f*** off if you think that.

There's no pulse out there. Just getting outworked and outchanced. The Rangers look a full step slower. I can take losing if the team works hard and gives it their all, but they're not. This effort is a f***ing disgrace.

Despite how awful this game is, we needed a real series to show the team some playoff hockey. Now we have that.

I really believe we're half a bottom pair, a good 4th liner or two and one top 6 centre away from making noise next year. Actually getting them is another story.

And I know this series isn't over, but even if we somehow turn it around and win, its obvious the team isn't ready to make a run this year

Then we are the weakest team. Which we *probably* are. It's just something about Pitt. We *should* be winning, but all our strengths have been neutralized. And as I mentioned, the later it goes close or tied, the more certain Pitt will win the game. I say this so I can be proven wrong like a doofus.

I mean, I don’t know how else to say it after saying it all season. We sucked as a team at 5v5, and here we are getting our ass handed to us.

I was told our PP and our goalie gave us a chance on par or better with the other playoff teams but that was false and it was obviously wrong.

We don’t click. We don’t complete crisp passes. We don’t score high skill goals. We don’t sustain possession or pressure. That doesn’t work in the playoffs and we are seeing it now.

Thank god we didn’t give up more.

And I have news - we probably won’t be ready to win next year either. No renting. Need more forward talent and the defense needs to mature and join the NHL team.

Shesterkin if he was playing at the level he did for 3/4 of this season, quite easily actually considering the goal support he’s gotten.
