... Any sports journalist's dream sequence that begins with the notion: "Minor-league hockey is a hit in Louisiana" should be taken with a mouthful of salt. 
The current Baton Rouge & Monroe hockey markets are too immature (beginning of 2nd season in BR, inaugural season for the Mocs) to make such a bold pronouncement. Further, FPHL (not equal to) ECHL when it comes to establishing a seemingly successful minor pro hockey team. While the ECHL is clearly on a mission to grow to a 32-team league, placing a team in Southern Texas just doesn't seem like a positive strategic decision by the BOG.
