Canes are rested, so not a lot of break from the Panthers. We’ll see how it plays out.
Go Cats Go!
Go Cats Go!
This would be perfect for the EDM/DAL series thread. Maybe that's why you feel this thread is stupid, you took a wrong turn. This thread is stupid. Claiming, we are superior. Whining, how we aren't appreciated enough. Telling how much better our defense and attack is. And most of posts without any argument or just cherry picking something. And then even telling, how eastern teams are weak with very stupid arguments. It has been much nicer to read the other CF-thread.
I have no idea, which team have edge here. McDrai is obviously something Dallas can't match. In paper and in regular season, they had superior forward depth. In playoffs, Oilers depth has been better, but it's still small sample size. I think, Heiskanen will affect to that forward depth production for Dallas, if he is healthy enough, but who knows how much. I expect Dallas depth to be better than earlier and McDrai to elevate their game, but their depth to drop a little. (Kane is Kane again.)
Defenses are hard to evaluate. Heiskanen was missing long time and isn't 100%. Still, he should be the best defender in this series. Harley has been good or better. Lindell is very good pk player and good defensive guy. Oilers have missed their best defender, Ekholm, which is also big thing. How close to 100% is he? Depth with this teams are little bit different. I would never want Klingberg on the ice, when puck is on own end, but he can add attack more than some Dallas' depth guys.
With goalies Dallas have the edge. Skinner can be very good, but he can be the opposite also. Oettinger has been better than good so far.
I predicted before playoffs Dallas to be in SCF. I'll stick with it, but see it as 50-50 series. Just hoping good games.
I keep hearing that but I'm not sure how it's quantified. The Canes were I think 19-12 against the West including sweeping the Stars and splitting with the Oilers. Pretty sure the Cats had a winning record against the West also, though I'm not sure how they faired against those two.that would be an incorrect opinion
East is actually the weakest it's been in a long time

Also the Ducks and Sharks are pretty damn terrible probably the two worst teams in the league.
yeah no f***ing multi-OT marathons in Game 1 this time please. I'm on call starting at 6AM tomorrow. All things being equal, I think we probably have a bit more of an edge. However, we just played two brutal series and barely have a day off, so I wouldn't be surprised if we drop another two games on the road out of pure exhaustion. I'd like to think that we would be able to then grind out a win in 7 but not sure if we can do that against this Canes team.
Hoping for Cats in 7 but won't be surprised if it's Canes in 6. TBH, I just wanted us to beat Tampa and Toronto this year - anything else is gravy! Just want to see if either team can win games against each other in regulation this time..
4 against if you want to include his completely unpressured puck over the glass penalty that led to the Panthers goal #4, which I do.Brutal loss for the Canes. Scott Morrow either caused or was directly involved in 3 goals against. He played 12:18. That's amazing efficiency, honestly. Another GA was Ghost being lazy when the game was out of hand.
Im not going to say the Canes deserved to win, but it does feel like this epic blunder of a coaching choice directly causes them to lose Game 1.
For the love of God, play Nikishin.
The story of the Carolina Hurricanes.Good start, but just one game. Felt like Carolina had some very solid stretches where "puck luck" wasn't on their side but they were controlling the play like they had a powerplay.
Yeah it was really dumb. At that point you just eat it and hope you can win it all with him there. I definitely don't trade him at that pointim sure this has been beat to death and Im too lazy to go back and look but why did carolina trade Rantanen. If they really believe they are close to a cup, you pay for that. Would have played out the season and seen if a stanley cup changed rantanens mind in the offseason. You can cry over the assests they used to get him but they were gone either way. Just 1 loss but look at what Rantanen has done for the stars. Rather my team take shots at wining the cup like carolina attempted to then worry about draft picks 5 years down the road or getting nothing in return when he walks.
Did you guys watch him while he was with the Canes? He sulked around for 13 games, there's no way on earth he'd be the same player he is on Dallas. I'm not going into why he traded for him in the first place, when he is not the type of player who wants to play our system and that should've been mentioned, but we are just happy we were able to recoup some of our losses on that trade.Yeah it was really dumb. At that point you just eat it and hope you can win it all with him there. I definitely don't trade him at that point
is this the leaked gta 6 map?
I was hoping for a Vice City Remasteris this the leaked gta 6 map?
In hindsight, maybe a multi OT marathon game 1 would have worked out better.yeah no f***ing multi-OT marathons in Game 1 this time please. I'm on call starting at 6AM tomorrow.
