Tkachuk injury doesn't need official report.

Just use your eyes and watch him try to skate.
Yea we're all sports physicians and can tell. Be real dude, was it reported or not. And if not, wait for the injury report to hold your press conference

hes injured but for whatever reason he didnt do much vs toronto in '23

The next series he had a decent impact that year
Yeah he's for sure injured, I guess that was my point. They really haven't missed him, but he's an opportunistic guy, even injured he could make a big impact.

Adding Marchand and Jones were such clutch moves. They should be constructing a statue of Bill Zito down in Sunrise.

1 - he got knocked out of first round by Meier and missed tons of time the season. Canes had goalie carousel all season.
2 - yes. Marchand has been owned by Carolina last few seasons. Canes are stocked up on rat poison.
3 - any team that makes it this far is tired. Carolina looks tired too. Their unique system is very demanding.
1. I know. When has he played this many consecutive games last time? 2010?
2. Waiting to see it.
3. This was extra question, because I didn't find out anything funny, but needed three.

I think it's the opposite. Florida is coming hot and won't make the same mistake they did with Toronto by spotting them a 2-0 series lead with a lackadaisical effort. I see this as the same as when Florida beat Boston in seven games two years ago and went onto Toronto and won both games on the road.
That could be the case too. Sometimes the extra rest doesn't help with the momentum they had gained from the previous series. Dunno, it will be interesting anyway! Just a damn shame that I won't be able to catch the first two games. Enjoy it!

What are you talking about? He was injured during the 4 Nations, and it’s been reported that he’s dealing with a tear or hip injury that will require surgery. It’s to the point where he can play, and it won’t get any worse. You want to read more about it, then do the damn research yourself.

Andersen has been playing at an elite level
Cool.

Who’s the backup, by the way?

Almost put Florida in 5... but I'll go with Florida in 6.

Carolina is worse at every position, except maybe defense.

Most boring series of the playoffs. None of these teams deserve to be here. On one hand you have Carolina a team with no elite players who plays a boring system trap-style defence.

I watched many of their games against Washington, they got lucky... They just hold the puck in the offence zone and take a billion shots from the point no wonder their corsi is high.

Florida got lucky to go down 3-0 to the leafs. They're a team with tax-advantages that every player would love to go to.

Imagine how good the viewership would be if it was NYR vs Toronto. Two teams that actually have elite players and who get massively screwed by the tax disadvantages. Original 6 teams with large fanbases.

Yawn...

Except they are lmao

Not saying the Canes can’t win. But their roster on paper looks yikes forward wise.

As a Canes fan, I agree that our roster still needs some work. This season was supposed to be the “transition year” because of how different the team looks compared to recent years — and yet, here we are, facing the Panthers once again.

The biggest difference this time around? We have Svech back. He’s playing well, and we’re definitely going to need his physicality in this series.

If we can stick to our game like we did in some of those games against the caps, I think this series could go six or seven games. Even just grabbing a couple of wins would be nice — we really don’t want to get swept for a fourth time.

The good news: the Canes have around $30 million in cap space to work with next season. Burns and Orlov are likely gone, along with some middle-six guys, so we’ve got room to make solid changes.

Here’s to a series that’s anything but boring!

Yeah you’re obviously in the ECF so you deserve to be there and it’s the playoffs anything can happen. Canes always play better than the sum of the parts so Florida has their work cut out for them. I doubt this is a sweep. Canes are a hungry team

Carolina is getting a break with that Tuesday start and they’ve played relatively low physical hockey in the first two rounds. This might be the year they break through.
This is a good point. CAR should be pretty good in terms of the war of attrition side.

Florida has just played two pretty physical games. They gave pretty good, that’s for sure. Took some decent punishment along the way though.

Toronto Torontoed, yes. But, to be fair they were more physical than I expected.
