Canes have 3.40 gf per game compared to Florida 3.50. Dallas is actually the worst scoring team amongst the four teams remaining.

Carolina has played Devils and Washington

They haven’t been tested one bit so far

They have a massive advantage on wear and tear though

It's difficult not to instinctively think that the Panthers are the better team in this series.

But at the same time it's difficult not to think that the Hurricanes have been more impressive these playoffs.

This will be an interesting series for sure.
Exactly. On a paper Florida clearly is the better team. But they haven't been as solid as last year. They also seems to have some players injured and Canes are more fresh. I would say it's 55-45 for Florida but it's nearly a coin flip. I think 5vs5 Carolina will give Florida the bigger challenge what Toronto did. And they are defensively solid. Florida should have more scoring power.

Im i the only one who thinks 2025 Florida looks more like 2023 than 2024 version of Florida? Clearly a good team and able to challenge but doesn't look as solid or healthy as 2024 team. 2023 they were outgassed against Vegas and this feels a bit similar situation. And not the least because of questionmarks around Tkachuk's health.

The depth of the forward line up is better than 2023. We had Staal x2 and Colin White as regulars in 2023.
Blueline misses OEL on the 3rd, and Montour's skating abilities but overall it's still a good blueline.

The biggest issues IMO are Chucky can't skate and Verhaeghe needs to see a hockey shrink.
The amount of games played too over a 3 year span probably is playing a minor role too in general fatigue.

If it's Canes-Stars I might not even watch....except for the Rantanen drama, it'll be a snoozefest.

Best we can hope for is a rematch of last year. Dig the f*** in!
me too, yes hoping for rematch, but i think canes will roll.

Please just win (at least) ONE f***ing ECF game this year guys, get the 0-16 since 2009 monkey off your backs (like we did this year with our inability to win road games the past few years)
im sorry for my self, but for you, canes will roll, it wouldnt be a competition, could be a sweep for canes

And you think because? I think we’ll have a challenge on our hands, especially since Carolina has had much less wear and tear so far, but they’ve beaten Jersey and Washington so far.

Anyone giving Canes a win or two this go round, we appreciate you. We have Svech this time and Freddie playing really well. No one has played more hockey than the Panthers, you have to wonder if they'll wear down at some point. Canes are rested, but not sure Canes get past EDM/DAL even if they end FLA's tear.

Canes in 5

Theyve massively outplayed the devils (albeit injured/not good) and the Caps (pretenders or not)

Freddies been playing great, Slavin is prob the best pure defensemen in the league (Forslings right behind him) and the team is jelling really well. Despite losing Necas and Rantanen they havent lost a beat in scoring.

Panthers if they can play their game they can beat anyone, but injuries and them just goin cold/defensive lapses i dont see them going much farther. Canes are a better team than the Laffs and Covid Bay

More than ever depends on either teams goalies who are known for shitting the bed or stealing games.

we just can't go 0-16 in ECF games

I believe in you.
