Does it matter to anybody that Alex Galchenyuk is playing tonight?

He's a good player, more likely to impact the scoreboard than Prust, so yeah I think if they swap those guys then Montreal gets a bit better from a forward perspective.

However if they're putting in Murray or something then it's one step forward 2 steps back

I think Montreal is going to come out with a lot of energy and edge in their game. Need to keep the speed up and shut em down with a quick goal. This game is important. Win here and we've got them in a neck lock. Lose, and I think it puts a lot fuel to their fire. Push them over the edge. LGR! Too excited right now!

3-0 is a neck lock, not 2-0. They lose one in MSG and they are right back in the series…

I won't be excited until we win four games. This series is far from over.

Rangers just need to come out and play their game. Take it to them hard, and early.

Pierre mentioned something earlier about how during the morning skate, right before it was over…the rangers had a meeting all together at one end of the ice. No coaches, just the players. He mentioned how he hasn't seen a team do this all playoffs, and they looked extremely focused and ready.

I love to hear that.

This group is a team more than any other Ranger squad in recent memory. Dare I say, more than the 2011-12 guys.

I know that everyone thinks the habs are the underdogs now, and they're psyched while the rangers are waning in their motivation, but I disagree. They just had a very emotional day yesterday. They were there for a new teammate, as they've been the whole time, and I'd bet anything that they'll play for each other, and for Marty especially, tonight just as much as they have done the last number of games.

IMO, sometimes you need something to bring a team together, but once they gel, they're that way until something pulls them apart. I don't think these guys are going to take their foot off the gas now.

Is Murray supposed to be some kind of "protection" for Tokarski or something? Why the hell is he playing? To fight? lol

Is Murray really in ? Jesus, the D was slow in game 1, he's essentially Hal Gill v.2 We all know how that went for us. On second thought, welcome to the series.

if hes in its a bizarre overreaction from therrien. murray is so past it. cant deal with the other teams speed?!? Lets put our slowest skater back on D!

Also prevents Prust from being an idiot and taking half an hour worth of penalties.

The worst possible thing Tear-rien could do against you guys is play Murray, and what you know.. He's going for it!

Gotta take advantage of that and keep hammering them with speed.

Also gotta say, and I say this to my father a lot. We live in an area that is probably 70% B's fans, the rest Rangers. Go a little further south and those numbers are a little more even, and despite the NY/Bos rivalry in other sports I cant ever find myself feeling anything other than respect for the way your team plays the game. You guys play tough without crossing the line, and I never have to worry about one of our guys leaving the game with injuries.. not like when we play Philly. Something we have in common?

Anyways... Take it to these guys! Over a seven game series you are gonna feel what it is like to be in our shoes dealing with that team/organization/fanbase. I just hope you do what we couldn't and shut the door on them.

I honestly see this as a Carkner-type move. I fully expect the Habs to use their most worthless player to take a run at one or more of the Rangers stars. Maybe I'm being paranoid. I certainly hope I'm wrong.

Then again, the "star" that Carkner targeted was Brian Boyle.

awesome!!

You Know what I do if I'm the Ranges coach (and a sick F)? I start Talbot...lol. Two reasons, First it takes all their revenge nonsense out of the game..no more "revenge" to rally the troops. Second what a statement that would make if the Rangers still win (which they would). That team would be so mentally sick, they'd quit the game.

Also...I'd dress Krieder but I'd keep his ass on the bench unless needed. How frustrating would that be for them? Think how demoralizing it would be when they lose again!

It's like shooting the hostage....what now b******?

In the words of the late Reggie Dunlop: "You gotta twist 'em, **** with 'em. ..

This will be game #55 without holding a two-game lead.

Tonight of all nights, against a 3rd string goalie, against a team we just beat 7-2, with a chance to call our travel agent and start ordering a ticket to the biggest stage in the sport; if we can't kill this streak tonight, we never will.

TSN 690 which is Montreal station is comparing this to Edmonton almost coming back against the Canes. Because they had to go to Markannen who was the third goalie.

They really do micro analyze things don't they?
