Up to this point, it has been Chabot in my view. While he didn't have his best game against Sweden, he's eating a ton of minutes in Myers's absence and was a dominant force in the game against Czech Republic. Cirelli would be second on my list. After that, Roy has been consistent throughout, Gauthier has 4 goals in the last two games, and Stephens has been a force since returning from injury (he did miss two games, though). While the criticism that Barzal has received the last few games around his passing (or lack thereof) and decision-making has been warranted, he's been a dynamic offensive presence for us so far and has created a ton of scoring opportunities.
My take on Strome is that he's been really good on the PP, and average at ES. He had his best game last night, IMO. I expected much more from a #3OA, 19-year old returning player. He has an opportunity to change that impression tonight.
