Ek has not been a passenger to Nylander what-so-ever. He's looked like a man playing against kids in this tournament. I would give it to Nylander over him because of his stats, but Ek's all-around game has been great.

There is like 10 players in the swedish team that have been better than Eriksson ek, his numbers are inflated by playing with Nylander.

It's not even like Nylander has been racking up secondary assists. He's been primary on the majority of his assists. You don't notice him that much, but he just always seems to get to the right spot. Kind of interesting since he has a reputation as a flashy player, but it seems he's a real high IQ player too. If there is a way to quietly lead the tournament in scoring, he's done it.

So his shot his terrible and His is two NHL goals were also flukes?

Watching what Greenway has done in this tournament so far, he gets my vote.

Keller and White have also been excellent for the US.

Kaprizov also impressed me from what I saw. Haven't seen enough of the other squads to have an opinion.

At the 1/4 finals, there is a lot yet to be said. Nylander, Ek, Kaprizov, Strome, Greenway, Barzal, White, Keller, Asplund,Hischier, etc. have all looked viable candidates. A hat-trick in the finals by ??? could sway voters.

Kaprizov has been best player IMO. He is very clearly a dominant force and ha sheen carrying Russia.

Eriksson Ek, Keller, Hirshier, Nylander, McAvoy, Greenway also standout.

Don't they vote before the finals? On in the 2nd intermission of the finals or something. I know it's quite dumb because the 3rd epriod can have the biggest impact but they name these awards immediately after the gold medal game ends so they have to them in advance

Asplund with 4 assists today and is 70% on faceoff draws. #dominant
:amazed:

The MVP for Switzerland was Siegenthaler. He absolutely carried that team.

I think he might get named to the all star team. It's tough for teams who lose in the QF to get that spot but IMO it's between him, Chabot, and Rykov right now for 2 spots.

Strome for Canada, despite the haters.

Couldn't disagree more. Strome just doesn't have that killer instinct and I think it's clear he's not as good as some of his teammates.

If Canada wins it goes to Chabot most definitely.

No I didnt say that, his shoot is great, but I do think is PPG would have gone down dramatically if he had play more games in NHL.

Agree that Strome hasn't been anywhere near dominant. He looks slow and uninterested, but then again that's how I felt about Tavares. So who knows

overall I think it should stand right now between, Nylander, Hischer, Kaprizov and Chabot. To bad Hischer is gone.

The Strome boys do nothing for me.

Chabot has been Canada's MVP.
McAvoy for the USA.
Nylander for Sweden.
For Russia to win it vill have to be za goaler.

By team:
USA - greenway
Canada - chabot
Sweden - asplund
Russia - kaprizov
Latvia - dzierkals
Swiss - hischer
Fins - dunno...tolvanen?
Danes - blich?
