Value of: E. Karlsson to WPG

We've got a bunch of good not great RHD, and seems like our 1C, 2C, 1G are all leaving. Returns are thought to be mostly futures-based. We hear TNSE doesn't have the appetite to strip it down and start again.
Is there something we can work out? The Jets could be sitting on $15m or more depending on who goes and for how much. If we paid say $8m of his salary from here on, what does SJS look for in return?

In what way? Do you think they have less money than other teams? A lack of assets available for trade? Are you saying they're going to be tanking and the addition of Karlsson would prevent them from losing in a way that keeping Connor, Morrissey, Ehlers, and Perfetti won't?

the jets main priority is to assemble three scoring lines. Not trade for all star defence when they won’t even make the playoffs next year

No way Karlsson is waving for WPG. He said he wants a contender which WPG isn't currently. WPG is also looking at maybe losing all of Dubois, Hellebuyck and Scheifele and 2 of them for sure, which even further makes this a no go.
