Why would you make the Colorado trade in season and not at draft day to get #1 pick? Instead of possible #4

Why would you make the Colorado trade in season and not at draft day to get #1 pick? Instead of possible #4

Because to actually get the 1st overall pick, draft day, would be all 1st round picks, and while I don't mind trading picks, that's too much to give up for 1 pick, and besides, I can trade it and maybe 1 more pick for 1st overall, that way it gives me a chance at a lottery pick. :)

oh and Colorado wanted to trade their pick, the others didnt want to, and had sky high trade value.

(got a bit too lengthy so I'll just post what happened)

Sharks Downed by the Canucks

Yes, that is the correct title, the Sharks were down by a just dominant Canucks team in the 2nd round. Roberto Luongo was a stone wall and the Canucks fed off of his play to a convincing 4-2 series victory.
"If I were to say I'm a bit upset, would be an understatement. We just ran into a hot goalie at the wrong time and couldn't get our offense going. I'm happy with the year we had, but not the result. No one remembers President trophy winners, unless they win the big prize after the playoffs. We are going to be reviewing our team up until the draft and see where we go from there."

Up next Shark fans the NHL Entry Draft!

San Jose trade the 9th overall pick, the 28th ovr pick, a future first, and this years 2nd 45ovr, for the First overall pick in the draft.

"We'd first off like to thank the City of Florida for their hospitality in hosting the draft. Next we'd like to thank all of our fans watching back home, in the Shark Tank. And without further adieu, with the 1st overall pick in the 2015 NHL Entry Draft, the San Jose Sharks are proud to select, from the Eerie Otters of the Ontario Hockey League, Connor McDavid." (4.5 Green star)

"With the 6th overall pick in the 2015 draft, we are pleased to be able to select, Anthony Moore" ( 78 ovr 5 Green Star G) :yo::yo::yo:

Question. Suppose you set a Be a GM limit to 5 seasons and then you reach season 5. Will the game automatically just say okay we're done or will it ask you if you want to surpass your 5 season choice? Basically, are you stuck with 5 seasons once you make the choice or can you always change it?

I'm in a GM Connected league and its set at 5 seasons but people might want to go longer.

Looking to start a Be A GM any suggestions on editing prospects?

Yes, Leon Draisaitl, Michal Dal Colle, Sam Bennet, William Nylander, Nick Ritchie from the 2014 draft class, gotta improve either their overall, or potential, or both. Reinhart and Ekblad need their overalls increased slightly. I'd say 65 for Reinhart and Ekblad.
You need to create Jack Eichel, he`s an american player thats looking to challenge McJesus for the 1st overall pick next year, 2015 class. You'll have to put him on a chl team tho, since he's a part of the US development team. its a start, but it'll make the draft a lot more accurate to how it's being ranked today.

And if you're looking for team owned prospects, 2BCProductions2BC on youtube has 2 custom roster making videos where he tries editing players on teams to make the sim as realistic as possible, and so far, its worked pretty well for me. Crosby finally putting up consistent 90~ point seasons, Ovie scoring 45 or more, Stamkos too! and teams like the Islanders don't dominate the metro division in year one lol

I'm not sure with GMC, but with regular gm, once you've reached the limit, you're done,so it probably would be the same anyways. You may as well just start over and set it to 10 years, that way you do have the option, and don't have to waste time, wanting to go a bit longer, then the game be like "oh you've reached you're time!"

Season 3 Start!

Here we are folks! Start of Year 3 since GM Morrison took office for the San Jose Sharks. He had some tough decisions to make, due to the salary cap, his hands were tied when trying to resign the Sharks starting goalie from the last few seasons Anti Niemi. Wanting a big raise for his dominant play last year, and being 33 years old, he wanted around $6-7M. GM Morrison decided to lock up the players he traded for, like Kane, signing him to a new 4 year contract worth just under $10M. But there is a silver lining Shark fans! At last years draft, the Sharks drafted 6th overall, a potential franchise goalie in Anthony Moore (5 GREEN STARS! :yo: )
Here's a look at the 2015-2016 Lineups for your San Jose Sharks:

Landeskog(86 PWF 4.5 Red) - Couture(89 PLY 4.5 gold) - Kane(95 SNP 5 gold)

Canucks stack prospect pool during draft

After finishing seven games below .500, the Utica Comets headed into the draft looking for prospects who could come in and compete right away. Working with Canucks general manager Mike Gillis, the Comets were rewarded for their patience.

After selecting Baie-Comeau Drakkar defensemen Alexis Vanier in the first round, along with other defensive prospects, they put the focus on Utica. Once the draft was completed, they were quick to sign undrafted 21-year-olds Darcy Ashley and Frederick Gaudreau of the QMHJL.

Both are expected to play in Utica this upcoming season.

Canucks also made a trade to free up cap space heading into the off-season. They sent David Booth, along with the rights to Jordan Schroeder and Peter Andersson to the Buffalo Sabres for a second and fourth round pick in 2015.

Comets are expected to get even younger once free agency starts. Stephen Dyell hopes to snag a veteran goaltender and keep a few pieces from last years team together.
