Larkin is untouchable. He is Detroit's primary source of offense. He isn't getting traded unless the return is a jackpot.

Why not Kotkaniemi? If you want our best player, we want your two best young players and a first.

Most i'd do is Domi + Poehling + 1st, if that's not enough then so be it. You're basically getting a young 1st liner (Domi is only 1 year older than Larkin), a very likely 2C (at worst a stud 2 way 3C) and a ~20-25 pick.

Detroit's center depth is non-existent. Rasmussen is a winger. Right now Luke Glendenning is our third line center. Without Larkin he's 2nd line center. Kotaniemi+Poehling+Juulsen+1st. In return you get Larkin and Abdelkader.

You can’t make Kotkaniemi untouchable when dealing with Larkin. We don’t need more wingers as we need more centers and defense so this isn’t well thought out.
