Yep, hindsight is 20-20. I don't expect McLeod or Bouchard would have had the opportunities to produce in Edmonton like they have gotten on their new teams though. But otherwise, yes. Skinner in and Holloway out has been horrible. Arvidson in and Foegele out has also been horrible. McLeod was going to be in the bottom six for us until he absolutely exploded in that position. Broberg was going to be playing 2nd pair with Nurse, on his off side. Him vs Emberson isn't a good comparable, because in a perfect world where we re-signed Broberg, the Ceci for Emberson trade still happens.
Perry was going to be signed anyway. I think the reason they didn't match Holloway's offer sheet was simply sour grapes on the part of Oiler management. Or ownership. Somebody took it personally.
