I think there are several players from our current SC roster that will have their jerseys retired.

It's a great time to be a kings fan. Thanks Deano!!!

That is actually a good idea sometime in the future for a thread to see how many we think will make it to the rafters. I totally agree great time to be a kings fan,

We're gonna retire a handful of jerseys when this is all over. I have no doubt in my mind you'll see 23, 32, 8, 11, and 14.

Not only is he the first American-born captain to win two Stanley Cups, I believe he is the first non-Canadian captain to win two Stanley Cups.

I missed all the post-game interviews since I was driving home, but I understand a couple of the guys choked back tears. I hope I can find a link to all the post game interviews...

Brown was driven last night. What a leader. He had more energy than five guys combined in the first OT for sure. He was skating fast where no one else seemed able to keep up, including Kopitar. And he was making plays, especially in the 3rd period and the first OT.

Dustin seemed pretty choked up about his personal problems, was he just referring to his injuries?

NBC cut the feed pretty quick last night so u just headed home after that as well, I missed a lot if the interviews. I'd love to see this one. Us look it up myself right now but I'm currently sitting at the dentist...talk about a downer after a great night. Lol

Quite a few were but Brown's were emphatic.

Seems like there was more going on than meets the eyes in what we already deemed a tough season for Dustin.

Know he'll bounce back hard next year too. Too much heart not to.

I have no shame in admitting I RAILED on DB hard this year. I called for a trade who knows how many times.

But god damn right now I love the guy. What a warrior.

Maybe it's because he's the captain and I hold him to a higher standard than guys like Doughty, Kopitar, etc., but there's no one on this team that drives me more insane, yet makes me more jubilant, than Dustin Brown.

He's a Kings legend, no arguing with that.

Dustin Brown and Drew Doughty have played the most playoff games in a Kings jersey (76) :handclap:

If anyone here ever questions his right to wear the C again, they should be banned for life - lol

Not only should his jersey be in the rafters, but he should be carved out a nice room at the US HHOF in Eveleth, MN.

The Kings were not going to win the Cup with the Brown we saw in the regular season. As the playoffs moved along, we saw less and less of that Brown. Looked more and more like the Brown we saw in the 2012 playoffs. Maybe not quite at that level, but he had 8 points in the last 12 games. Including the OT game winner in Game 2. The goal he had in NY during Game 4 was like he was back in that Vancouver series.

It started to turn around after the Olympics. Which just happens to coincide with him removing the brace.
