Some tough news today, Will Francis has had another relapse of his leukemia.

Drafted by the Ducks in 2019, Will was first diagnosed with leukemia in 2020. He suffered a relapse in August 2023, followed by a bone marrow transplant in April of 2024. I was going to say that Will has only played in 37 games over the last five seasons, but should be saying that to the credit of his toughness and resilience, Will has continued to battle his way back to the lineup for at least one game in each of the last four years.

Sharing this as I'm sure many in the hockey world will want to lend their support.

Please continue to support and donate to medical research. We seem to be making some progress. 20 years ago this young man might not have made it to a third bout. There are new treatments all the time for various scary diseases and with the continued use of DNA and modern AI and eventually quantum computers we should be able to do even better.

The statement he intends to be back in February is a great sign. He is one tough kid.
