I am sure he went for further diagnosis and treatment. Probably found out he cannot make it worse by playing with it, and it's up to him to manage the pain. I have no idea if any of that is true, but I would bet a significant amount on it being true.

Yeah it feels like Matthews from 2 years ago. Still should be able to find a way to be a decent effective player but not in the tier of the elite players in the league like he was in his 2 60 goal seasons.

It really started when he scored 69 goals then went hard against Detroit into the boards
He hasn't looked for about 30 games now
