Ducks get: Polak 2.25m
JVR 4.25m
Leipsic .653m
4th 2018
Leafs get: Fowler 4m
Stoner 3.25m
Cogliano 3m
2nd 2018
Anaheim saves just over 3m in salary to sign Lindholm and also get there LW they need.

Leafs get a good young d-man who automatically inserts into the top 4 and a 2nd for taking the extra salary. IMO Leipsic will never play for the leafs.

What say you?

It's possible. Tough for Ducks to loss Fowler and Cogliano but they get JVR to solidify a top LW and Leipsic is NHL ready. They lose Fowler but have a solid young D plus cap to sign Lindholm. I would probably do this from both sides perspective. Leafs can flip Fowler in a package for Trouba.

JVR-Bozak-Marner has too much chemistry to break up.

If they can keep performing like this then I would want the leafs to resign JVR.

First off, I think the ducks will need more than 3 mill to sign Lindholm.

From a leafs perspective Fowler, Stoner , Cogliano do not fit. Whos minutes do they take?

You could make an Argument Flower moves into the Pairing with Rielly sure but it wont solve the issue of moving Rielly back to the Left Side. Stoner we have no use for we have a bunch of young d men looking for ice time. Stoner just complicates things. Same for Cogs. He will need ice time and take from some of our kids.

Deal makes no sense, only way I see the leafs getting involved is if Lindholm is coming back , not the spare change they want to give up to keep lindholm

Have to go with "no" as Cogliano is involved. Not to mention this doesn't really help with the cap that much either.

Value is good for both sides (perhaps even a bit in our favor) but I think both sides will probably say no.

I as a Ducks fan don't want to part with Cogs at the very least.

Lol....Fowler and Cogs are spare change? Wow, to your player evaluations. Secondly, this wasn't proposed by a Duck fan, so it's not Duck fans trying to pitch this deal.

Unless it's a top 4 RHD prospect, doubt leafs are making trades until the deadline.

Really? You really think this is the team until March?

Other than a top pairing RHD, what are we really lacking right now? Both wings are stacked down through to the ECHL, we have 4 middle-6 capable centers and probably another 3 bottom-6 centers ready to fill in at any time. LHD is about 7-8 deep right now, Zaitsev/Carrick/Polak/Corrado are good enough for the 2nd and 3rd pairing RHD slots.

Other than consolidating extra depth into higher end pieces, I don't see what moves we can make until the rookies settle in and we know for sure what we have on our hands.

Can we stop with this RHD crap? We don't need a top RHD, we need a top 4 D Period.

I don't care if he's right handed or left handed we aren't in position to be picky.

We just need a top 4 D

I mean if you want to play HF armchair GM, sure, it doesn't matter. Babcock is one of the most outspoken coaches about the LHD-RHD balance, I'd be surprised if it isn't a major factor in the kind of defenseman we target in the future.

I think JVR for Fowler,Stoner,2nd works better.
the 2nd is the cost of moving stoner. ducks save 3M, If they LTIR despres they have nearly 7M in cap space.

I think Bozak needs to go., This team is eventually, not this year but eventually going to be looking to contend and I don't think Bozak can be on that team, I think JVR can I think Marner can I don't think Bozak can.

To me it depends on if Nylander works out as a centre or winger if he works as a centre, great if he's a winger then we need to bring in a 2nd line C eventually

I think we need to watch what happens with Tyler Johnson and Kyle Turris because both guys could hit the block soon.

My point exactly. With the LTIR it should be more than enough to sign Lindholm and we get our top 4 we need. Also we are talking Cogliano here not Messier. Last year 32 points in 82 games, really?

Stoner had 2 years and $7 million left on his contract. Nobody is taking him for a 2nd round pick.
