Nice job. I am glad Shore realizes hockey is as much of a mind game as it is anything else. Confidence makes and breaks players all the time.

Yep, I expect a big year out if him if he's given the chance. Pretty amazing what he accomplished in a rushed rookie season playing alongside another rookie and Mueller who hadn't played in some time.

Loved that he wasn't afraid to shoot and shoot a lot! You can teach a player how to have a better shot, you can't teach them the confidence to take them.

[:sarcasm:] Interesting that he has that attitude. I kinda expected something more along the lines of "waaaaa, we don't have a good enough team and DT isn't allowed to sign anyone cause we don't have any money, waaaaa" [/sarcasm]

Probably the dumbest post I've seen in a long time.

yea, non-whiners clearly dont fit in with the majority of panthers fans, so i can see why it would be "dumb" to you

Relax man. It's not uncommon for young players to change their minds a lot. But, Shore's had a great attitude from day one. Hopefully, it stays that way. It sounds like he wants to give himself the best possible chance to be a game-changer in the NHL.

Exactly. He has shown great pride for us and that's exactly what DT wants. We don't need someone like a kovalchuk who *****es to get a contract and then leaves. As long as Shore keeps his attitude he will continue to grow and be a better player for us.

perhaps my comment was misunderstood. i actually expected nothing less from shore. hes a class act and a winner. i never doubted that he would work his butt off and have a great attitude. my comment was a dig on all of the "sky is falling" type fans who think the prospects are going to be ruined because were rushing them and not making expensive signings. the prospects we have will do just fine even if the team struggles for the next year or two because they are high character guys. its just funny how everyone thinks the kids will be ruined but i think the reality is that these tough years will forge the will to win in them.

No excuses for Bjugs and company, if they can't beat out Gomez for a spot on the team in training camp, then they clearly need some time in the AHL.

I thought your post was degrading to many of us long-timers who have voiced our opinions. That is why I reacted the way I did.

Looking at it now I was too harsh, which I apologize. But I still think you could think about the way you present things aswell.

You could be right. I tend to not have much sympathy for negativity, which I find to be rampant on this board. But still, I shouldnt be a *****. I apologize.

always love seeing people being polite and civil on boards! Bravo guys :) In the end it's the back and forth that makes forums/discussions awesome, as long as everyone respects peoples opinions it's a good time!

Call me an extremist but Im thankful we still have a team sucking or not

I don't think the Panthers will ever be in any serious danger of relocating. It's a profitable arena outside of hockey operations and the sport is still growing in SoFla, takes time.
