That’s correct. It is top 10 protected and stays with Calgary if they move to 6. The Habs then get Florida’s pick.

They can't move up to anything other than 6. They win the lottery, (draw 1, or draw 2) they move up 10 spots. There are no other scenarios

No shot Calgary wins the lottery. And no I didn't jinx it cause I'm pretty sure they already did the official draw

On a side note, I hope San Jose wins it and gets Schaeffer. The Hawks should be forced to get Bedard some help up front with Misa, Desnoyers, or Frondel. I also wonder if they go Mortone if they drop from the top 2 as their young core are tiny

They’re not gonna trade both picks. The 17th is a possibility if they have a player to trade for lined up but they still have to draft with the 16th overall. Only Hage as a high end forward prospect isn’t enough.
