NHL Draft lottery race - Bruins currently have 6th Pick

The way this season was going I thought we probably just miss the playoffs but the upside would be maybe we could draft Bear and that would be cool for a number of reasons.
Then it got worse and I thought maybe we even have a shot at McQueen and that has real potential.
Now I think keep it going (down) and Desnoyers could be a Bruin and that is just damn exciting.

Win the lottery be even better

The kid in BC was always a project and he moved up from prep school to one of the top college teams on this planet, which means very little ice time not to mention a huge diffeence in skill level he had to face .Lets just wait and see where he is in 3 years time before we post this type stuff.
So I’m gonna challenge that.

He’s a first round draft pick. Why are we picking “projects”? We need talent in this pipeline not “projects”. We don’t have that luxury.

Further, he’s 18. Same age as Stiga (as an example), playing with him all year, and Stiga is clearly more talented, faster etc. and local to Boston and drafted after Letourneau. No excuse to miss like that.

Yes, things could change in 3 years. And it’s not a knock on the kid it’s a knock on the GM. But right now, not even a year after the pick, this looks like another miss we could not afford.

Sabres win 8-5, now Let’s go Pens !

It's ok to challenge it because it's a hockey site.I think they are betting on the size with his hands which he does have. The trick is to get the rest of it to catch up.Again I think it's to early yet to really debate this.Lets just give it some time.

The Sabres and Ducks are past the point of caring about maximizing their draft picks. They've already acquired quite enough young talent and it's now more about building what they have. Hence they keep pushing to season's end and at least trying to build some momentum they can carry into next year. Doesn't seem to work, given their history, but that's the idea. Main thing is it's good for the Bruins and our free fall down the standings.

Since Sweeney struck out on the 7 footer at BC who can’t skate, I wonder if his new target is that 6’5” forward? See if we can put together a basketball team in Providence.

It really is shocking how out of place Letourneau looks. Couldn’t possibly have screwed up that pick any more.
I can’t take your post too seriously. His best asset is his skating. I think it’s too soon to call him a bust.
