with the crazy race for positioning in the draft lottery, seems like we should have 1 place to discuss all the
happenings around the league. so let's do that here. wally said bring on the thread, so it's brought.

#1 SJ & #2 CHI are in a different zip code with this.

#3 NSH 62 PTS/23 RW/9 GR
----------------------------
#4 SEA 68 PTS/25 RW/8 GR
#5 BUF 68 PTS/24 RW/9 GR

#6 PHI 69 PTS/19 RW/7 GR
#7 BOS 69 PTS/23 RW/8 GR
#8 PIT 71 PTS/20 RW/7 GR
#9 ANA 72 PTS/23 RW/9 GR

-----------------------------
#10 DET 74 PTS/26 RW/9 GR
#11 NYI 74 PTS/25 RW/9 GR

key bruins games with lottery teams remaining:

april 6 @ BUF
april 13 @ PIT

some separation is starting to show up. but legit shot at bottom 5.

BUF looks like they can catch us. big game with PHI tomorrow. legit shot at bottom 5.
Hope Buff flyers go to overtime
.Great thread,good work

Bearing some unlikely winning streak seems like 8th is as high as we will get with the opportunity best case seems to be slipping to 5th overall. Obviously if teams behind us luck out with lottery balls we could drop 2 spots further but if we even stay pat we likely nab a solid center prospect, easily overtaking anyone in our system already

If the Bruins do their part and lose out, maybe beat Chicago down the stretch, I think we’ll be picking top 5.

Penguins have 2 games against Chicago still on the schedule so hopefully they can jump us. Buffalo has had a decent stretch of games their last 10. Praying for a dead cat bounce from Philly.

Pittsburgh needs to get it going. I thought Crosby was good?

I know your post is tongue-in-cheek, but I just feel the need to point out that Crosby's 80 points in 72 games at age 37 on that dumpster fire of a team is simply remarkable. Absurd consistency - PPG or better 20 years in a row. His loyalty to the Pens is admirable, but I would have loved to see him switch to a contender for one last run at another Cup.

8th is probably the cutoff for a good prospect especially if a team above them reaches due to organizational need. Bruins have no good dmen in the Pipe, but if a crazy good forward is available I hope they don’t pick a dman. Idk what the right call is unless a misa, hagens or denoyers is available.
