If are watching and we see a team 5-11 behind us disappear they are 1 or 2 and we are going back

The first draw is 1-10 teams with winner getting 1 OA
The second is for pick 2 OA with teams 2-11

The 11 team can only go to two so hopefully we don’t freak out right away lol

Then assuming they don’t we watch 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, and 5

Can't get here fast enough.lol

I’m praying for 5 or better because if all of the centers go before 6 and we’re stuck looking at Martone, scared Sweeney would do something very stupid. I want the choice between Hagens, Frondell, Desnoyers.

Let’s say bruins got choice 6 and the one of top 6 left is Desnoyers
Habs nation get wet when they think of him
If they offer choice 16-17-40-49
That would give bruins 6 choices in first 60 !
You do it ???
f*** no, this isn’t the NFL. Bruins couldn’t move into top 5 while having 3 picks in a strong/deep draft like 2015. This draft has maybe 12 NHLers in my opinion. Obviously there will be some dart throw bullseyes in the later rounds. But on paper that’s what I see. Stay and pick.

The everlasting low-brow brute in me is really drawn to Porter Martone but the need for a high end C trumps nearly all

He’s really nasty all around so we can definitely feel good about it if we get him. That level of talent and physical attributes is very rare.

But yeah the C issue would still persist

Might be the safest pick.

Assuming the top 6 is set in the draft rankings, let the other teams decide who to pick and you take the one that is left over.

Then we don't have to spend the next 10 years reading about who they should have selected.
Oh people will still complain.

We should have taken Carter Bear! I mean, the name alone says it all!!! After it happened I knew it all along.

Scouts thought the 2017 draft was going to be weak as well. Remember when Nolan Patrick and Nico Hischier were fighting for 1st overall? There are already 30+ full time NHlers from that draft…including Makar, Pettersson, Hischier, Necas, Robertson, Thomas, etc.

If the Bruins fall to 6 and Habs want to make a ridiculous offer…Sweeney would definitely consider it. It all depends how much they like Desnoyers. This is also Sweeney we are talking about. Who the hell knows what he is going to do.

It’s not over but it’s been swift and an occasional bone thrown our way (Carolina 5-1 & Devils 7-2)

Players never quit either - not a peep of any dissatisfaction

Given their point % since the trade deadline would be the 2nd-worst full season point % in the league since the 2004-05 lockout (only behind the 2019-20 Red Wings), I think I'd prefer to believe the players have quit. There's a lot of work to do this summer to attempt to make it a swift rebuild.

No 1,2,3 defenseman.

3 legit top 6 forwards.

Line 4 is an AHL 2nd line

They suck, but are trying, IMO.

Just wondering how you define highest upside ? and if you were picking third who would you take?? I would hope most agree on 1& 2 .It is when it get to Three things start to get greyer
Good question. I guess upside IMO I’m defining as offensive production. How many points can he generate? How creative is he offensively?

For comparison sake, surely some of these prospects are known for a 200 foot game, physicality, grit, etc. I think those are things the Bruins love. And I’m personally just tired of seeing them chase it. I hope they pick the guy with the best chance to put up 80+ pts a year, period.

As for #3 I won’t pretend to be a scout. From what I’ve seen and read, I’d lean towards Hagens. Maybe it’s Frondell? But I just don’t want the Bruins using size as a first measure.
