NHL Draft lottery race II - Bruins currently have 4th or 5th Pick

I’m with you on the skill thing. But imploring an NHL organization to use internet draft sources - most of which have never seen these players live, talked with coaches and other prominent people in country, or anything like that - to make a draft pick is silly. What qualifies as an internet draft source? There are hundreds - do we care about prior track record?
Yes of course…that was intended to be a joke.

See above parentheses. Tell me again how the Bruins NEED to just DRAFT more star players to build their team to compete with the Floridas Vegas’ Tampas of the league.

And how is Cirelli a “high end forward”? He’s never scored 30 goals and has cracked 50 points once. If Cirelli is a star what is Geekie???
Lundell was drafted not traded
Tkachuk was traded for Huberdeau 3OA
Barkov 2OA
Ekblad 1OA

A big no to Taveres. As was said ,"no stopgaps."
Also I think he may be having that last gasp great year we often see right before the player drops off the face of the Earth.
We might not have a choice. Not many UFA out there. 2 years 9 per I’m in Now that would mean we can’t sign any other bigger name players.

I stand corrected. I for some reason assumed he was part of the Owen Tippet trade.

@BB88 names Cirelli as a high end forward (50 points once, never scored 30g)

@BB88 also names Lundell as a high end star. Career high: 18G/ 45 points.

Yet he only names Pastrnak as the Bruins star. By his logic Geekie Zacha E. Lindholm are high end forwards.

There is no way this team is putting ALL of their eggs in the draft basket. There needs to be trades. Or heads will roll. And Sweeney absolutely knows he’s on the hot seat. If anyone thinks Sweeney is refraining from trades and UFA signings this summer they haven’t been following pro sports long.

Ok but not the point of the comment. And PJ is still here.
Ok, but my point being Sweeney decided to go with Vaak, so you can't blame just the scouting, when Sweeney has the final say, and at the time he thought they were getting a number one shutdown defenseman to go along side McAvoy for the next 10-15 years. Im sure Sweeney also did his due-diligence on each player who was on their list in the first round and came to the conclusion to take Vaak.

Things have been going to well with the tank and getting help. The luck is bound to run out so I'm half expecting us to drop at least 1 spot in the lottery drawing

Nay, it’s all going are way from here on out. 1OA Or 2OA. Book it!

It has been pretty sweet lately though, with a lot of things going the Bruins way, helping with the tank.
