NHL Draft lottery race II - Bruins currently have 4th or 5th Pick

Also, you can compare the skating yourself with his highlight package. And keep in mind, those are the highlights. That's why I don't want him.
14 of the 17 draft rankings on there have him in the top 10

Rangers didn’t build their prospect pool good enough and went for the win now moves too early

That was the point. This is a last place team in the East with ZERO A tier prospects and half the fans are screaming already for win now moves

How stupid do you think Knies agent is? How much less do you think Knies is getting staying with Leafs? Boston or another team in The East can make Toronto weaker by spending maybe 1.5M more than Toronto would have. You think Boston is making a bad strategic move because they spend $1.5M more than they would have if they drafted Knies, because that's exactly what you're peddling, which isn't right.

Also keep in mind that Frondell is not even a consensus top 10 pick. Hagens is. Let's not outsmart ourselves in the draft once again by thinking we know things that we really don't. Take the best player on the board.

Frondell isn’t a consensus top 10 pick? What lists are you looking at?

FWIW, i track about 16 different lists throughout the year and frondell is #5 on average.

With Makar, Hughes, Heiskanen, Hutson dominating from the blueline as 1D’s I really wish the size argument gets more silent

This is a league for fast skilled players that can create

Lol, Hutson is the only small D man there. The rest are 6:00 or more so do better.

I know they will mess it

But you are anyways going to miss another year of prime Pasta and just make the future outlook look worse at the same time

You are not trading/signing for 2 high end forwards to make them competitive next season, while adding to the defense as well

Sometimes you have to admit and realize the situation and deal with it. It ….s they are wasting Pasta but thats’ the World they have built

Doubling down on your mistakes is much more likely going to hurt you more than help you
It’s your opinion that they “need 2 high end forwards”. Maybe they need one high end forward and some competent 2nd line forwards who drive play.

Your definition of high end forwards may differ from others. Who’s to say the players the Bruins select by essentially tanking as you’re suggesting will turn out to be “high end forwards”? What if they add nothing as you suggest, and draft duds? What then? 3-4 years of non playoff hockey and suddenly Pastrnak is on the wrong side of 31. What do you do then? You seem to think it’s a given draft picks will pan out. What if they don’t? Look at some recent years top 12 draft picks.

Alex Holt (7th overall)
Jack Quinn (8th overall)

5 years after draft year these kids are STILL trying to find their game. The draft is a crap shoot. You build wealth in life with multiple streams of income. You build hockey teams with multiple streams of players. Draft, trades, UFA’s. I’m done debating you. You still a week later have not expressed a valid reason to show why the team should wait a year to make any additions.

And AGAIN, nobody is suggesting they trade their 2025 1st, or their own 2026 1st. We are talking about Toronto 2026 1st (mid to late 20’s pick), a handful of 2nd rounders, Mittlestadt, Lysell, Bussi, Merkulov, etc etc.

I decided to give it a whirl first and only try 2nd pick, still pretty good I'd take either. I wish the actual draft lottery was today! Lol

It’s my opinion?

Florida Panthers:
Barkov
Tkachuk
Reinhart
Bennett
Lundell
Verhaeghe
(Probably Marchand)

Tampa:
Kucherov
Point
Guentzel
Hagel
Cirelli

Boston:
Pasta

Please tell me how they are 1 high end forward away from being where Florida is?

This is a last place team in the East but they are just right there with the elite teams….

Both Florida teams are 3 lines deep with legit superstars leading the way

See above parentheses. Tell me again how the Bruins NEED to just DRAFT more star players to build their team to compete with the Floridas Vegas’ Tampas of the league.

And how is Cirelli a “high end forward”? He’s never scored 30 goals and has cracked 50 points once. If Cirelli is a star what is Geekie???

I agree, the knock on Frondell is skating, Hagens is a good skater, but size concerns are an issue. If It were me, Desnoyers would be the guy, unless we can get Misa of course.
At the moment, I like Desnoyers as well lots of hockey still before the draft . I want to see how Moncton and Desnoyers play through the Q playoffs and hopefully at the Memorial Cup. I just hope he is still there when the Bruins pick . Until we know where they are picking everything is up in the air

I don’t want to be a meanie but if you go by money puck using the 30+ games Geekie - Lindholm- Psdtrnak together using office expected goals/goals they are right there with the Aho & Kucherov lines even ahead in some criteria

You add in the defense part they are number 1

so I would put them all there

Marchand I’ve been told is returning enough to be comfortable betting anyone on it

Also, you got Bennett on Florida and I would expect him to resign Florida but he could leave

Bruins likely picking 1-6 as well

True. I may be a bit biased as a Wildcats fan and get to see Desnoyers often, but he just has it and plays well at both ends of the ice.
