I didn't realize there was also a #2 lotto. That's fun!
Yep, so teams that finish #1 and #2 can end up not picking #1 or #2. Let's hope the Bruins get lucky with the balls!

There are probably 50 people or more reading or on here that know more than me about them but here is where I’m atI’d love Hagens. I think that’s a great pick.
How do you stack up the forwards right behind him? Frondell, Martone, Desnoyers, Eklund, McQueen, etc…
I feel if we end up in the range of say #3 it may give Sweeney options to trade down a spot or two as well and still end up with a stud while gaining more capital. There are probably 50 people or more reading or on here that know more than me about them but here is where I’m at
I’ve seen Hagens live a bunch but the rest none
I’ve taken a good-sized dive into Martone and he’s hit the Mark Stone/Corey Perry feel people have described/ big, rangy, scorer, high character leader in waiting
I’m legit good on both Hagens & Martone
Desnoyers I’ve read the in depth redline report which forms my view but I gotta venture out on him video & others takes
Frondell same - I believe he’s more offensive mindset center and shoots and the Bruins need a center who is just that
So Hagens & Martone are different positionally and size but both clearly work for me
I’m looking at Frondell & Desnoyers more this weekend especially if Pittsburgh beats Boston in regulation
I like our top line a lot - we need high end talent on line 2 who can drive or heavily impact line from offensive perspective- Hagens & Martone look like they have that
Out of these guys, would you say any are likely to start at the NHL level next year? There are probably 50 people or more reading or on here that know more than me about them but here is where I’m at

its actually May5 or 6th this yearI'm sure most know, but the lottery date is May 7th.
I did a sim 10X today and got: 2, 4, 2, 2, 6, 4, 5, 5, 1, 6 --- ADP 3.7
My viewing has been similar to yours I’d say. And from that as well as scouting reports, I think I’d have Frondell over Martone. There are probably 50 people or more reading or on here that know more than me about them but here is where I’m at

My mistake -- you're right for some reason Google brought me right to the 2024 date.its actually May5 or 6th this year
I think Bettman is still trying to figure out if he wants Chicago this year and Pittsburgh next year or visa-versa.My mistake -- you're right for some reason Google brought me right to the 2024 date.
When will they decide on the 5th/6th?
I would. I don’t think Toronto will be as great next year as some think… at least not as good as us especially if you’re grabbing Knies from them with Marner likely on the move… that would be devastating to them and almost worth the acquisition cost alone for how it affects your division rival. An injury or two in that scenario and they could easily become the 2025 Bruins with Matthews carrying the team and little support behind him. Knies would do wonders for our top 6 before you even get to Free agency/trades. He’s 22, plays hard, big body, and has Geekie numbers already.Would anyone here offer sheet Knies from Toronto with the compensation being 1st, 2nd, and 3rd knowing we might suck next year and lose out on decent 1st, 2nd and 3rd round prospect? I'd consider it but it's a dangerous move to make given our circumstances. Edited to add: do we need to get our own second rnd draft pick back from Washington if we were to do this? We own two 2nds in 2026, neither of them ours
losing Marner and Knies would be a major hit for the leafs. I'd love to see that happen, but they have around 28 mil in cap space, so I'm thinking they'll manage to keep two of Taveras, Marner and Knies to go with Matthews and Nylander, but hopefully not. Seeing how the bruins have their 2026 first.(top 5 protected)I would. Let the scouts pick so that they can blame them and fire him/them in a few years if the pick is a huge BUST!I wonder if he's big enough period. In this NHL he can develop and thrive but he might have some of the issues we've seen with Poitras and then you see Hughes getting hurt and that's likely why he drops in some lists.
I really don't know where the Bruins desires sit right now. It was get bigger and try to handle Florida and yes, Cam has that bias and he might see a guy like Martone as the closest top pick he can find to himself but Sweeney has favored speed and skill before in some drafts (and done a poor job evaluating it) and they seem to have gone in that direction at the deadline with Jokiharju and Mittelstadt etc. so I really don't know what direction they are heading now. They generally seem to evaluate defensemen better in terms of draft picks and have some success there but not as good on forwards to say the least.
Send Tonya Harding to the Bruins locker room ASAP!Hopefully someone tampers with Pasta's alarm clock so he misses the team meeting
Anton Frondell and Djurgarden force game 7 in the semi final in a do or die scenario. 2 goals for Frondell. He looks like a really strong player out there.
Absolutely major. They have money, it’s just about Marner really, who was asked to waive around the deadline. I feel like he’s gone, especially if they don’t go far this post season. I’m not sure they could actually sign all three tbh unless Tavares signs for something ridiculously low… Marner obviously eats up a bit of cap space, Knies will likely get 1mil minimum more than Geekie gets imo, and Tavares probably 6.5? That right there is all of the the money they have or more. They still have a handful of roster spots to fill after those three names too. If Marner walks, they would easily be in the running for Boeser/ Ehlerslosing Marner and Knies would be a major hit for the leafs. No kidding haha. A goal from center ice? come on guys...Dam, the goaltenders took the night off.
Boston has a 65% chance of moving DOWN in the draft? That's kind of warped.
Hagens I would say no - needs another year and selfishly as a BC fan I want him with Stiga to see if they can dominateOut of these guys, would you say any are likely to start at the NHL level next year?
