NHL Draft lottery race II - Bruins locked into 5th before ping pong balls.

Some takeaways (assuming the Bruins are in the top 5):
-DJ and Pete have been told that the draft isn't great, but not as bad as initially feared
-Big drop off after #2, not a whole of difference between players 3-6
-Felger sees Martone likely being the pick because Neely is obsessed with big guys
-Neely told Pete that he really likes Jake O'Brien
-Felger (on O'Brien): "Feels like a Bruin, something about the O'Brien thing that they'll fall into."
-Mazz (on O'Brien): "He's around 11th on the lists I've seen and it would be just like the Bruins to reach to an area that no one else would go to and get it wrong."

I think there is a case to be made for O'Brien when factoring his age. He's only had two years in the OHL as opposed to guys like Martone and Misa, both in their third year. I wouldn't select him top 5 though. If they fall in the 5-8 range, I'd be fine with O'Brien although not my preference.

Yeah these sports entertainers should not have their opinions being taken seriously. Just further proof that YouTube/general podcasts are the future. At least for my sports content consumption.

Huge night. Don needs to just put his foot down and say, “sorry boys but swallow your pride for a week.”

The way the top of the draft is shaping out.. they need the highest pick. Don’t see Seattle winning another game.

Decent chance the last game means nothing for the Kings. Blues game isn't totally hopeless.

Misa was an exceptional status player. He started as an underage player at 15, that's why he has had 3 years.

Flyers chat says they are very interested in Desnoyers. Kraken supposedly looking heavily at Martone. All rumours of course but there it is. Hagens seems to be the guy falling out of favour in terms of top 5.

Just my opinion. I've only seen Desnoyers and Hagens play. We wont get a sniff of Misa or Schaefer unless we win the lotto. Frondell and Desnoyers have risen since the start of the year and Hagens has fallen off. Was rated 1st earlier. Frondell is the guy I think...

I’m sure it depends what’s on the table and where they draft.

I’m sure the bruins list is something like this
1.Misa
2.Shafaele
3/4.Hagens
3/4.Frondell
5.Desnoyers
6.McQueen
7.O brien
8.Victor Eklund


And hopefully they don’t draft worst than 8th but it could happen.

Could well be. We'll see and I am looking forward to it, just hope they don't take a less talented player because of size. That would be so Bruins, but they've also done better recently with that, so maybe the've learned.

Or worse. Passing on shaefele to draft Obrien, McQueen or Desnoyers.

After watching highlights and YouTube draft opinions and reading draft rankings I’d be super happy to add Frondell. Sounds like he could be a future nhl superstar.

You really think they don't have Martone, who if he develops to his full potential becomes Brady Tkachuk, in the top 5 on their list? I agree with Misa 1 and Desnoyers 5 but hopefully Hagen isn't that high on their list (Goes to BC, I know he is) and McQueen's injuries concern me.

Unfortunately, you're absolutely right. But for me ,as a fan, I've gotten way too emotionally invested in the thought of one of Hagens, Desnoyers, or Frondell in a Bruins uniform haha

Why is it a big deal Hagens goes to BC? He’s a big time prospect. How do you pass that up? Especially when he solves your biggest need; young stud center.
