NHL Draft lottery race - Bruins currently have 4th Pick

Red Wings blow it, but pick up a point at least. Man I would not want to play St. Louis in the playoffs. That team is red hot.

3-1 ducks after 1. Looking like another positive night for the tank.
Could cool off though.Winning 10 straight a couple weeks b4 playoffs start would make me nervous as a fan because you know they cant keep that pace up .

always. Its an asset to be used however now or later.

This is probably what the Bruins thought when they took Vaakanainen over Thomas despite drafting Zboril, Lauzon and Lindgren in the earlier rounds in the years before.

If they value Schaefer and Misa on the same level or have Misa slightly less talented I still absolutely would go with Misa over Schaefer because of the need for a top line center.

Hopefully if they get 5 they don't drop to 7 in the lottery. It's a 6 horse race as far as I'm concerned.

The other great thing about is how the organization has been let off the hook for being absolutely terrible in a season they were really supposed to contend.

Let off the hook? What the f***? Have you read the missives from KPD or read any threads here for the past four months?

Desnoyers. Desnoyers. Desnoyers.

If I type it 3 times in a row I've summoned him haven't I?
I would be very happy to get him too, and Habs nation dream to get him )))) only for this i watt him as a bruins , nothing is better than a quebecois to face habs…..Bourque….bergeron…..Desnoyers? Would be nice
He is good in two way hockey, he hit , he is big, and he produce…

I'm not saying I would take him over Misa, because I wouldn't but I think he is my favorite prospect. Sure there is a chance he tops out as a 2nd line C, but there is also a chance that he becomes a legitimate 200 foot power forward and first liner

I won’t pretend to know anything about these kids in the draft but at minimum there’s a flicker of light at the end of the 2024/25 tunnel with this team projected to select 5th overall
They might finish 4th yet .Lottery is scary though because it could go good or bad.Odds though, Bruins should get a nice player looks good however .

honestly thought this group would finish 7/8th worst and get a good but not potentially franchise altering player.

Keep er` going boys, continue to prove me wrong :) I will say this, I actually watched my first game in about 10 days last night and saw a ton of hustle, they simply aren`t a good team as currently constructed

That’s true, but the opinions of fans on a message board and a writer at the Globe usually don’t have an impact on decisions. At the end of the day, the only judgement that matters is from ownership. The Jacobs family has given their boys Sweeney and Neely a vote of confidence, and therefore a pass for this season.

OK but that's not what he was saying or talking about. Of course fans have been calling for Sweeney's head for a decade so it all blends together. And there are a handful of more rational fans who see that one year like this isn't a trend, despite the best efforts of many on here for years to paint it differently.

The absolute worst thing would have been not to sell and to hang around - hell with how all these teams are playing we may have even gotten in. But Sweeney bombed the room, we're having an aberrational year and getting a great draft pick for it, plus adding more future picks and some very good future talent. Not the year anyone really wanted, but at the same time, given the circumstances, they're doing a great job taking advantage right now.
