Pretty small as well, 5'9.5 184 at the combine. You have to be very dynamic and/or incredibly steady to make it as an NHL Dman under 5'10

I like it though, we have been taking a ton of bigger bodies and can stand to add some speedsters. Blais can fly, he's a playmaker and has a ton of heart.

As it stands we'll have a long break now before our next pick which also happens to be our last. They typically have a quick lunch break after round four and then the Avs own our 5th rounder from a certain deadline deal.

He was being interviewed about the Sergachev trade, and said that he talked to the Tampa GM a long time ago and said something like “hey - I know you aren’t thinking about this at all right now, but if at some point down the line you are, we have the interest, we have the assets, keep us in mind”. That all they are doing is putting their name in the game for something that may or may not happen in 6/12/whatever months. NOT that Sergachev was ever being shopped, just making sure that if anyone every does the unthinkable, that they have the ear of the other GM and don’t get left out of the game.
