I think what happens is that the teams put in their picks while they’re at the table and he sees that before it’s announced

Makes sense. It obviously has never really bothered me in the past, but it does sound better to have the suspense remain up until the team announces it on stage.

I think we definitely know that the Rangers are one of the teams that talks to McKenzie and gives him their draft list when he's doing those rankings. That's how he always knows who they're gonna pick
