Draft Draft 2020 Draft & Undrafted Free Agent Thread: Part VIII

Not necessarily. Could be a reminder of these concepts that I shared in the mock draft for the 13th pick:

"Carolina is very high on the guy they took last year. So while we've made Askarov the best player on the board right now, I just don't know if he ends up in Carolina in real life (either by a team trading up and picking him, or coming off the board earlier)."

"Carolina I think prefers a wing and could very well be happy if Askarov is off the board at this point because they wouldn't have to make that decision. They already have a top goalie prospect and all things being equal, I think they'd prefer a forward to fall here (like Jarvis)."

Yeah still up in the air, obviously won’t know until the day of. Seems, though, they are leaning toward offense.

Possible, but Dundon has that "no defensemen in the first" rule/philosophy. Which really means "I want excitement and offense ASAP because that sells tickets". I can imagine a meeting where they tell the owner that have to trade one or two goalies so they can draft a goalie instead of a forward. And Dundon is just like, I don't get it, guys.

I have a feeling he will be one of the most physical players on this team.

would Huberdeau be a good comparison?? he is a very underrated player in my opinion
