Bunting got suspended 3 playoff games
Spezza got suspended 6 games (reduced to 4)
Matthews got suspended 2 games

All three had zero prior history. Meanwhile even last night there was an illegal headshot by Nosek on Eric Staal that went uncalled and there likely won’t be a suspension.

I’ve read a lot of everyone’s comments and I know I’m not the only one that feels that there’s zero consistency.

I would argue that when it comes to the Leafs the DoPS is very consistent. You can't put yourself in that position to allow them to make decisions.
I remember the game where Ovechkin elbowed Komorov in the head after the whistle. Komorov was concussed, no penalty and no league review despite there being a very clear tv replay.
The non calls on the opposing team lead to the retaliation actions from the Leaf players, they should know this by now. You will never come out on the right side of the DoPS as a Leaf player.
In any sport to be successful as a team you have to be better than bad luck and poor officiating.
The Leafs have a good team, they just need to go out, compete and win.

I think they have been very consistent. Unfortunately, also very corrupt and not consistently balanced neutrally.
