Domi suspension incoming? (Fined $5,000)

Im just commenting on this specific play

The "whatabout" bringing up some prior thing just derails every thread on plays like this IMO

Every team and fanbase can point to something to whatabout .. I guess that explains why every questionable hit gets dragged into the same predictable non-insightful non-constructive discussion

Let’s just face facts. The Panthers are dirty. The Leafs are dirty. And the NHL DoPS has put in place perverse incentives where not being dirty means you’re not doing all you can to win a series and people get hurt because of that.

The idea that the Panthers are going to “take a number” would imply a certain level of innocence when in fact you’ve already taken a number. That’s 41, Stolarz.

This is all just a bad cycle of violence Parros has failed to do anything but put fuel to fire.

If things were called fair and consistently, that would be a suspension but so would the kulikov elbow and Bennett elbow. Since none of those were even looked at, I doubt this gets more than a fine. You can crosscheck a guy in the mouth and play the next game so nobody knows where the line is.

Not a leafs fan but I don't mind Domi doing that when the cats have been getting away with greasy stuff all series.

No, it implies that we stick up for our team mates, Toronto's core doesn't have the horses for that type of game.

Regardless, whether Domi plays, or is suspended, it will not tilt the series at all.

We can agree to disagree on Stolarz, who again I still hope comes back healthy.

Agree to disagree. Florida’s been sticking up for teammates to excess and will just leave it at that.

A dirty hit in the dying seconds should be handled differently than if that same hit happened halfway through the first period. I'd give him a game.

The precedent has been set with Ekblad charging at the end of periods, don't see how this is different.

Taking a run at Domi doesn't even the score and send a message. Drilling one Leafs' best players in similar fashion does...and I expect that one of Nylander/Marner/Matthews will get the receipt next game.

Why do you think Chucky was talking to Nylander? Why do you think he ran Guentzel in the very next game after Hagel was suspended?

It eye for an eye, and someone else will get hit hard too. Nylander is already ducking hits, lol.

He like Guentzel are the best players in the series for their team. Much like Barkov is for us.

Domi for Barkov isn't eye for an eye, lol.

This is acting like Florida hasn't been taking runs at our best players prior to this play lmao. "Oh you better watch out the Panthers are going to start taking runs at people" Really?

the panthers aren't tough, and arent going to do anything except take more cheap shots too. perpetuating more violence. whether that benefits one team more than the other is purely speculative

Then what was the point of Domi running Barkov?

Barkov is a Lady Byng winner, lol. Domi chose him for a reason. Why not take out the guys making all those questionable hits?

We both know why. You love it one way, and hate it the other way.

If you run Barkov, the whole team will be after you.

So Tkachuk will purposely do something illegal and something that should be suspendable again?

Dumb player.

Just dress Reaves and have him prevent this by running Tkachuk before he can do something so dumb.
 
Marner is so afraid of contact that he put himself in a bad position against Kulikov, ducking and spinning at the last moment before contact. Not even in the same universe as Domi, who ran Barkov from behind with pure intent.

Those saying the Panthers will "handle it"...this is Max Domi we're talking about. He has no interest in answering the bell against anyone tough. If he can't jump or take advantage of a non-fighter, he won't do anything.
