Domi suspension incoming? (Fined $5,000)

Because they got traded there, or because very rich people pay less taxes in the US, especially Florida?
You'd think a few of those Canadian players would like to come home and play for their boyhood teams and in front of family and friends and possibly end the 30+ year drought, wouldn't you?

American players playing for Canadian teams usually go back after they retire. European players usually return home.
Most Blue Jays players go back to the US in the off season as do Raptor players.

Maybe Trump's right.

I'm Canadian by the way. I can guarantee you if someone in the Canadian media had the balls to ask the Canadian players on the Panthers or Stars about the USA chants, they'd say it's okay.

On first glance it didn't look like the most awful hit. Just a little dirty. But coming at the end of play, with no opportunity for a meaningful penalty in this game, I think it justifies a one game suspension.

The dumb*ss Parros will probably give him 1 game, despite that being tame in comparison to Tom Wilson's headshot on Carrier, Schenn's forearm in the head on Scheifele and Roy's crosscheck to the head on Frederic.

The he did this but he did that back and forth between the fanbases gets old real fast.

Does anyone know the process that the league follows to determine suspension lengths?

It sounds like fans are guessing because the league doesn't have a repeatable process in place. The result is trivial tribalism.

It's beyond time for an independent arbiter

Nothing ok about that hit, charging, boarding, end of the game, just a stupid gutless hit. The leafs were absolutely pathetic tonight.

If the league does nothing, which they most often do, the Panthers will police it themselves. That's the difference between these two teams, one takes abuse, the other takes license plate numbers. It is what it is.

The meltdown has begun in earnest, enjoy the rest of the series.

Nope. If Roy didn't get suspended then this doesn't. If Bennett doesn't get suspended then this isn't. If Kulikov doesn't get suspended then this isn't. Hell, if Tkachuk doesn't get suspended this doesn't. People need to take their own advice when people said all those others deserved a suspension and stop crying.

Barkov wasn’t hurt, so really I don’t care if there isn’t a suspension.

Doesn’t mean it wasn’t a bitch move by Domi.

Panthers do a lot of bitch moves and nothing happens. So why is it an issue when it happens against your team now? Seriously though. How many concussions has Bennett been responsible for the last 3 years? These playoffs your team has taken Carneys Elbows Up slogan to heart because they've been leading with their elbows up for 2 series now.

Just this game you had Bennett push OEL on our goalie again.
Mikkola open the bench door as Nylander was getting hit near it and then act like he was making a line change when nobody was around to change with on the defence.
Kulikov elbow to Marners head.

That's just this game but that Domi hit is so bad.

An unfortunate outcome, but you have to at least try, right?

The problem isn't really the league. It's the fans (and apparently players, too) that lowkey don't mind if an opponent's star player gets injured as a result of a dirty play. They know better than to say it out loud so it's couched in platitudes about message-sending and getting what's coming to them, but at the end of the day, it's about wanting to win. There's a reason wimps like to target Barkov who is basically just a mellow house cat.

No, he’s not, no matter how much Maurice cries about it.

If Tkachuk didn’t get suspended for his late hit on Guentzel at the end of the game, then neither will this.
