American players playing for Canadian teams usually go back after they retire. European players usually return home.
Most Blue Jays players go back to the US in the off season as do Raptor players.

Panthers do a lot of bitch moves and nothing happens. So why is it an issue when it happens against your team now? Seriously though. How many concussions has Bennett been responsible for the last 3 years? The problem isn't really the league. It's the fans (and apparently players, too) that lowkey don't mind if an opponent's star player gets injured as a result of a dirty play. They know better than to say it out loud so it's couched in platitudes about message-sending and getting what's coming to them, but at the end of the day, it's about wanting to win. There's a reason wimps like to target Barkov who is basically just a mellow house cat.
