there was 6 seconds left in the game when domi made the hit don't kid yourself.
do you think that if the play was whistled dead immediately, is 6 seconds of penalty would have been an adequate punishment?
if that had instead been bennett doing that to matthews with 6 seconds left people would be rightfully livid and calling for a suspension.

I do feel bad for Barkov though because he takes a lot of unnecessary hits as a consequence of playing for a dirty team. Unfortunately, it will continue to happen until Florida gets called for being dirty.

You have Marchand jumping into hits all series and the refs don’t care because he’s small and weak.

the entirety of our back and forth started with you crying about Tkachuk not getting suspended for the guentzel hit.
and then again with the non call on marner.
i said it before and ill say it again, you would be absolutely livid if the roles were reversed and Tkachuk or bennett hit matthews.

There is no evidence that it was Bennet. It is much more likely that it was the puck to the mask.

During the game, 2 min penalty.

End of the game, NHL going to feel like he needs to be punished or else it's going to be free reign for players at the end of the game

No, they aren’t the same type of play. Kulikov is reckless with his arms as Marner cuts and turns to change the angles. Domi deliberately boards Barkov with 5 seconds left in a 2-0 game by charging at him from 10 feet away when Barkov never moves.
They aren’t same type of play like you keep on trying to make them be. One is reckless, the other is intent to injure

Do you think what Matthew Tkachuk is doing here is the same level of physical play that Domi did to Barkov?

This is the thing with the series. Florida is the best team in the league at playing slightly over the line. They will bump a goalie, take a bit of a late run, maybe a cross check or tap on the shin pads. It works and it sets the other team off. What does the other team do? Cross the line completely and then they get suspended. Happened with Hagel, and it’s 50-50 for Domi.

Leaf fans are posting videos of other actions from panthers fans like a little brother who is trying to convince mom that big brother was also doing bad things. Problem is, Domis hit was the stupidest action of the night, and the most blatant and intentional. He lined Barkov up from 10 feet away and boarded him. It was stupid. But the panthers make other teams do stupid things.

As a Leafs fan you can't defend that hit. Regardless of what I consider questionable officiating overall favouring the Panthers. (just my opinion) Domi should get a game or 2. It's a dangerous, unnecessary hit.
