With everyone healthy:

Bratt - Pettersson - Nylander
Landeskog - Zibanejad - Forsberg
Eriksson Ek - Lindholm - Burakovsky
Kempe - W.Karlsson - Rakell
Arvidsson

vs

Lehkonen - Barkov - Rantanen
Teräväinen - Aho - Kakko
Granlund - Hintz - Laine
Lundell - Haula - Armia
Kapanen

I would say small edge to Sweden.

Sweden and Finland are both well-known for their strong ice hockey programs, and both countries have produced numerous elite forwards over the years.
Historically, Sweden has had a slightly stronger ice hockey program than Finland, with more Olympic and World Championship medals and a higher number of NHL players. However, both countries are considered among the top ice hockey nations in the world.

Sweden has stronger everything. Except coaching.
Hallam is the best coach Sweden has had at any level since Rönnberg. So its actually pretty decent now. But the finnish coaching is most likely better.

This is so weird. Looking at the swedish vs finnish forwards now compared to last season is so different. The breakout of Pettersson and Barkov’s weak season makes this look a lot different thats for sure. Why does one player here or there cause this? We need stability.

Imagine a combined Team though, a Swinland if you will:naughty:

Sweden’s forward depth was always good over these last few years but just a year ago I preferred Finland’s top-6.

Would have been so interesting seeing the 2018 and 2022 Olympics with NHLers, it feels sad especially for Finland not getting to see this great generation compete in best on bests. Not that the very successful, Euro heavy national teams aren’t a valid source of pride, but you want everyone’s best players out there and I think Finland would have fared great.

Hedman Dahlin
Lindholm EK65
OEL Ekholm

Landeskog Zibanejad Forsberg
Lindholm Pettersson Nylander
Bratt W Karlsson Burakowsky
Kempe Eriksson-Ek Rakell

Heiskanen Valimäki
Lundell Jokiharju
Hakanpää Määtä
Ristolainen is just to big of a queationmark.

Lehkonen Barkov Rantanen
Terä Aho Laine
Granlund Lundell Hintz
Macelli Kotkaniemi Kakko
Haula

Finnish defence is far weaker.

My friend's dad said it best "they played high end hockey in Sweden before there were indoor toilets in Finland".

Sweden will always have better team on paper but luckily for us hockey games aren't settle on paper. And even more luckily for us there ain't best of seven series in tournaments, anything and everything can happen in a single hockey game. With the population of 5,5 million citizen Finland is doing great in hockey. But im worried because cost living is on the rise and hockey has always been expensive hobby, how's the current climate going effect success in a long run? People in Finland might have to prepare for drough.

I got burned faster than I thought, huh. Wanted to appear smarter than I am :)
Hehe, not that anything you said was stupid it was just a bit computer generated. You don’t need to analyze things so much before you post.

Thankfully that usually means people have more money. But sure hockeys sustainability compared to other sports is an issue.

The first 3 centers on both teams are pretty close.

More depth on the wings for Sweden.

No, you said it right. Almost. It was actually my idea, but it was formatted for me by A.I. Well, i think it doesn't matter now, hah
Well that explains it.
