This offense wow. Rantanen puts them over the top IMO and many of these guys can move up or down the lineup, so Deboer can give many different looks. I know Seguin is injured but still this group has everything - youth, size, grit, playoff experience, speed and cup rings

If they want more balance they can move Rantanen to the 2nd line with Johnston and Marchment.

Aside from FLA, I can't think of a better top 9 in the league.

Robertson - Hintz - Rantanen
Marchment - Johnston - Seguin
Duchene - Granlund - Benn

Us Oiler fans don’t get to say that this year as we’re actively cheating with our salary cap.

I will say though, why does every other team get to cheat just a biiiit more ;)

Yeah, I don’t like it. If Kane comes back game 1 of the playoffs, it’s bullshit. The league is just making a mockery of itself with allowing obvious handicaps and teams circumventing the rules.

I agree 100%

It’s lame. If the cap is $100,000,000 (for round number sake), then only $100,000,000 worth of salary should be permitted to be on the ice at a given time. It’s not rocket science. Especially if they’re magically healed 2 hours after game 82

Huh? They've been playing really well since Miro went down, and Harley is a legit #1.
Thats a big TBD on Harley. Hes a nice story, but that is a very weak 6 Dmen without Miro. If/when the Stars lose, its going to be because of their D depth.

Dude has one full season under him so far and then this season. Its been good, but need a bit more consistency before you say hes a #1, especially while your actual #1 is out. Still 3-6 is awful. You get a healthy Miro back and he gets to play defense while Harley mans the PP, ok. But after Esa it falls off hard.

On paper, they have 3 1st lines, but the West is so ridiculously deep. You can tell me anyone of the Stars, Jets, Avs, Golden Knights, or the Oilers made it out of the West in 3 months and I'd just think to myself 'it was so obvious all along', you can really convince yourself that anyone of those 5 teams are the favorites to make it out of the west.

Blackwell - Steel - Dadonov(!)

The Stars rock.
