Not one of the players you listed are of any interest to the Islanders for Noah Dobson. Think higher end prospect (and not roster junk/overhyped due to team drafting them) if Dobson was to become available based on age, recent production and RFA status.

I would put Hage on the table. The idea was to add to our RD depth while keeping Rein. Anyway to form something around Hage + Kapanen and 2 x 2025 1sts?

Absolutely not, NYI has absolutely zero RD in their pipeline. They would never even consider trading Dobson without bringing in a RD.

If you want Dobson it’ll need a premium piece…. You left any pieces that might be the big piece in the trade off your available list

I can understand all of the Isles fans objections. IMO 3 x 1st round picks and Mike Matheson is not a terrible package. When you look at it through Isles fans eyes......it is not what they would want for Dobson. Those conversation start with Demi or Hutson. That's understandable and respectable and I have stated that throughout the thread. We wouldn't part with those two pieces, and thus we are left not agreeing to any trade.

Rather have Savard then Matheson if it comes with taking a veteran defenseman. Matheson has too much term on his current deal.
