Solid win that I didn't predict. Our D was good today. Dobes had it a tad easy but he was really good at controlling the rebounds. He looked calm and confident.

Is Dach back? Hopefully
He played well.

All our lines played well IMO.

Evans is on pace to more than double up his best production. This is crazy. He will slow down eventually but right now he's quite impressive.

Heineman was a rock today. Good anticipation and physical play to steal the puck on a few occasions.

Great road game against a top team.
Very encouraging.

Couldn't watch the game as I'm playing dnd with buddies, how was Dobes overall? What about Dach? Actually who was good, who was bad, etc.?
Genuinely can't think of anyone who played poorly today and I'm a certified hater. I guess 2nd line (most notably Laine) in the defensive zone wasn't great. Dobes was excellent. Very confident and calm, night and day compared to Primeau. Aside from his goals, Dach was so much more engaged and was attacking the net.

Xhekaj plays 16 hard minutes and fights a guy who played 7 minutes. X is more valuable playing tough hockey and not fighting 4th line useless slugs.

He played a long shift before that fight while Greer was fresh. He was a POS to do that, but Xhekaj started to do well after a breather & Greer basically turtled. Xhekaj is one tough mother & is playing extremely well.

We need to replace Matheson & Savard on RD. Hopefully Reinbacher is able to take one of those spots. Still need a veteran RD.

Carrier was an absolutely f***ing steal. I can't believe we got him for Barron.

They just lost to bloody Columbus. They aren’t getting 4-6 points against the teams they’re facing on this trip. And since when are goalies ready after a year and a bit? Mark my words, this will do nothing. Everyone thinks guys “deserve” a look. Roy, Mailloux, now Dobes.
🤔 well 2pts in the bag

Too bad they lost vs Columbus before x-mas…. They would be at .500

Being .500 with all the adversity and weak ass team makeup that MSL has had to deal with this year as a coach, (Dach, Laine injuries, Primeau, Barron, extremely young D in their wrong chairs etc..) speaks well for him. I think he's been vastly unfairly criticized.

He was part of the problem . He seems to finally have understood. But the arrival of Laine and Carrier in the line up is helping a lot too.
