Every once in a while the team shows what it could be in the future and it's a beautiful thing
Dach nets two, Newhook gets two apples, Evans hits a shortie again, Caufield hits his 18th, Xhekaj mauls a bitch and Dobes makes a 33 save shut out!darn missed the game....
well gents???
Poor kid, I hope he finds his NHL gamePrimewho?
What’s this about? I seem to have been on another planet.
Remember the hype around him?For those curious i believe the last Hab rookie goalie to pitch a shut out in their first game was Yann Danis against the Thrasher almost 20 years ago.
Agreed. Was worried a bit with X at the start of the year but he's been a pillar in our recent resurgence. As long as he plays physical and defense and sometimes uses his hard shot (without killing possession) he will have a long NHL career. With Hutson and Engstrom doing great in Laval he won't need to be a puck carrier in his prime.Xhekaj plays 16 hard minutes and fights a guy who played 7 minutes. X is more valuable playing tough hockey and not fighting 4th line useless slugs.
you tend to look better now when you try to get players that are best now rather than try to develop failing players like Primeau and Barron.Great game all around.
Dobes looked big in the net and very calm.
Habs looking like a different team with Laine and now Carrier. They still have issues of course, but they actually look like a competitive team night in and night out now.
I remember watching this on my 32 inch tube JVC in moms basement. For those curious I believe the last Hab rookie goalie to pitch a shut out in their first game was Yann Danis against the Thrashers almost 20 years ago.
Getting the call to the 4 nations cup really awakened something in him, he's been a different player since.Armia is +9 in his last 5 games, it's crazy.
5'11 undrafted goalie...Remember the hype around him?
