Just had to miss the game and starting to see the highlights:

wow, Dach's first goal was all Laine. He drew 3 Panthers players to him, opening up the ice, then found a teammate with a good pass, which resulted in another passing play in the open ice for a goal. Laine doesn't get an assist, but he created the scoring opportunity.

Xhekaj plays 16 hard minutes and fights a guy who played 7 minutes. X is more valuable playing tough hockey and not fighting 4th line useless slugs.
Agreed. Was worried a bit with X at the start of the year but he's been a pillar in our recent resurgence. As long as he plays physical and defense and sometimes uses his hard shot (without killing possession) he will have a long NHL career. With Hutson and Engstrom doing great in Laval he won't need to be a puck carrier in his prime.

Pretty perfect road game.

Suzuki line shut down Barkov line & when McLean moved Barkov off him to Dach line to generate offense Suzuki line scored (Caufield). Loved it.

D was steady & did a good job defending the slot. Dobes looked big & confident. He moved the puck well. Awesome shut-out against a top team for his debut.

Jake & Armia, PK super duo. Another goal from Jakie.

Dach scoring & Newhook assisting if those 2 get going giving this team a 2nd line that's a game changer.

Hardly any penalties called. The game flowed well. Didn't hate the refs at all.

Solid team game. Everyone worked hard & brought it.

Let the Dobes hype begin! This win makes up for the Columbus loss, now the Habs have to keep that same energy for Tampa and Vegas.

Glad to see Dach slowly getting back into form, the team needs him to play like this every game.

Hughes is going to get lots of calls for Evans, but I don't think he'll trade him unless they're completely out of it by the trade deadline which is getting less and less likely. GHG!!!

Great game all around.

Dobes looked big in the net and very calm.

Habs looking like a different team with Laine and now Carrier. They still have issues of course, but they actually look like a competitive team night in and night out now.
you tend to look better now when you try to get players that are best now rather than try to develop failing players like Primeau and Barron.
