Currently the only person i see them inviting is Biz since he signed an AHL Contract with Ontario. I could see them maybe inviting a Veteran that is still unsigned like Upshall, Glencross, maybe even a veteran Dman. Most likely it will prob be Biz plus some College/WHL/OHL undraftees.

They usually bring someone to camp, often from the WHL. Wouldn't be surprised if they invited a goalie actually.

Up against the cap, young guys from an AHL championship, I don't see why they would bring anyone in that wanted a chance at an NHL job.

I think Glencross will find a contract.
Could maybe see Upshall but we are pretty set on the wings. What centres and D (not named Franson and Erhoff) are still available?

I would assume that'd depend on how they feel about Shore or whoever becoming a 3rd line centre. We could really use one, not sure if anyone left on the market meets that need though.

Center Santorelli (age 29) , Tlusty (27)

Forward s Brad Boyes (33), Stempniak (32) Martin Erat,(33) Erik Cole, (36) Michael Ryder (35), Bergehheim (31)

Defense (w/o Franson and Ehrhoff)
Volchenkov (age 33) , Zidlicky (38) aver. 20 min a game last year, Schlemko (age 28) Jan Hejda, Tim Gleason, Andrej Meszaros, Michal Rozsival, Ryan Wilson, Jordan Leopold, Keith Aulie

James Sheppard, Marcel Goc or Jim Slater might be worth an invite. Slater's faceoff percentage is unreal overall at 59.6% last year and at home it was 64%. Crazy good and would fit into a Sutter system.

Volchenkov would interest me the most on D. Maybe Meszaros as I think we need a more stay at home type.
I think Roy is still out there to. He would interest me as a C

I'd also give Penner a try out just so he can be rejected again.

Oh sweet, I'm past 3000 posts now :) Accomplished something today. (does the pumpernickel)

He's listed as a C despite playing most of last season as a LW. He took less than 20 draws last season and his faceoff percentage was in the 30s.

Perfect replacement for Stoll. Does he also consistently take momentum-killing, mind-numbing, disheartening late 3rd penalties as well?

What about his clap bombs from the point? Fifteen feet over the net?

Jim Slater has a slight problem with not being able to play hockey anymore. He might only be 31 but he is really really washed up. Struggles to keep up to the play, no skill, not an effective checker, positioning is not good, just nothing. The Kings (or any other NHL team) should want NO part of him.

Center Santorelli (age 29)

Santorelli would be BEAUT on the Kings. smart, soft hands, plays his balls off, great defensive game, exactly what the Kings need as a 3/4 C. extremely underrated player IMO. I watched the Leafs a lot over the last 2-3 seasons and he was one of the guys that quietly got things done. Im surprised hes not signed yet

I always liked him, tends to be fairly opportunistic, quick hands, smart, hustles, pretty decent wrister, protects the puck well. I remember about a year ago reading that he had a really high degree of points produced at even strength with the score close. That's the kind of player every team needs.
With centers at a premium , not sure why he's not inked.
Last team I heard was asking (mid to end of july) were the Caps.
He'd be a good fit there.
