I like DLR. He's a guy that has shown he can play up and down the line-up.

I think he can do a lot of what's asked of Armia right now... It'd be a shame to lose him to waivers.

I can see a team claiming and taking a chance on DLR. He's still young, as good size and is on a cheap contract. Plus he's decent on the PK and can play a pretty good defensive game on some teams 4th line. Maybe though his recent heart issues might make other teams think twice and he clears.

1) his heart issue may turn other teams off.

2) he is on a Two-Year, One-Way deal worth $900K and his salary in the AHL would be $850K.

Risking losing DLR, who has his whole career ahead of him, over Plekanec, who has pretty much his whole career behind him, is not what I would have done.

Some posters couldn't believe I would prefer a new 2nd round pick over DLR before training camp.

Hopefully Plekanec somehow nets us one again at the TDL this year.

I'm just not sure or not he gets claimed. Do other GM's stay away due to the heart issues he had? If he clears, this is good news for Laval.

What is clear is no team is interested in making a depth trade with us cause it's obvious Bergevin tried.
