I'm currently midweek confident, so 37-24 Buffalo W feeling with a garbage time TD from the Ravens to get it that close.

Of course, by the time the game starts, I'll be certain we are losing. Just gonna ride that playoff feel-o-coaster until it ascends to the highest of highs or comes crashing into oblivion.
Until "Wild Thing" Allen comes out in the 4th Quarter and puts the Bills up two scores with less than 4 minutes remaining I'm going to be this guy......

I think they're gonna win. Having to come into our house is a totally different beast. Lamar and Derrick Henry are definitely scary, but the coaches know this. Having Milano back for this game is gonna be huge too.
I like this mind set as I just listened to the epic hires of Joe Brady and Bobby Babich as they take questions and we see both of their personalities reflected on this team. Obviously Kromer as well and the rest.

Discipline and simplified assignments w Belief in each guys ability to do THAT Job.

It's hard not to love the mindset of Brady and the fook you but humble gritting teeth w a Sense of twisted humor in Babich. Wow

Scmmokin Joe and Yes sir Mr fn Babich

Cant wait to see our D on Sunday, at home , get another shot after a haymaker landed to TEAM a while back. .. seething

Dion! And 5 others , Josh on a mission w his group. the D and the returns of Milano and Miller w kids and men just doing their jobs this week.

Go Buffalo

Shakir is a huge x-factor for the offense as well, he missed the regular season Baltimore game. I think having those four guys in the lineup along with Amari Cooper makes us an entirely different team they haven’t seen yet.
Not to be "that" guy, but Shakir played in the Ravens game (had 62 yds on 4 catches) - he missed the Houston game the week after.
(and the Houston game was Allen's worst, Shakir is definitely an x-factor for him, like you say, a safety net)

Overall, the Bills should be in a much better place on Sunday than in Week 4; but the Ravens' D is also miles better compared to what it was in the first half of the season.
Also, Zay Flowers might not play, so we'll see how that goes.

Honestly, I think (and I fear) the Ravens are a bad match-up for the Bills, but not gonna cry about it before the game is done.

Coaching updates per wgr this morning

-Saleh is the quiet favorite for the Jacksonville job
-Aaron Glenn is the favorite in New Orleans
-Jets now want Brian Flores with Josh McCown as Off. Coordinator (I dont see McCown wanting anything to do with that situation tbh)
-Current chatter seems to think McCarthy will get the Bears job. He can officially interview today.
-Josh McDaniels (yah that one) is favorite to be off. Coordinator in NE confirmed by Vrabel

Lamar on the road in the playoffs has not been good.

He also has not been good in the 2nd playoff game of the year.

I could see fraud alerts flying all over WNY Sunday evening.

TB's mental game is a huge factor on Sunday.

On the TFL on the screen to Mims, TB was running to blow up the play before the snap because he knew from the Broncos alignment what the play was and he blew it up.

Spector is nothing like that.

Update: found it!

Yup. We need Bernard to be our mini-Kuechly out there.*

* A very poor man's Kuechly because that man is still one of the best LBs I've ever watched play. Him and Ray Lewis were on another planet.

You're speaking facts, especially about the Ravens defense. Let's just hope Allen and co. are on point. I believe they will be, but this isn't the same Ravens defense that we saw in October.

It's nice Williams has all that experience now. I'm assuming we'll go:

Milano-Bernard-Williams in those sets? Johnson will be the one off the field, no? Or would they take a safety off the field? Taking Johnson off the field with Andrews on the other side doesn't make me feel too comfy.

It will likely be Johnson that comes off the field, but it will be interesting to see what they do.

I wonder if they play around with taking Douglas or Benford off instead with Taron covering Andrews.

:dunno:

But, Dorian Williams will definitely be the 3rd LB.

McDermott’s defense basically has nothing but weak side linebacker types. Bernard, Milano, Williams, etc are WLBs who can cover and attack the football.

Kuechly was that rare LB who was as big as a MLB but as fast as a strong safety, plus he was the smartest player on the field. I think Beane took Edwards to replicate the size-speed (Edwards being a lot bigger than Kuechly) but caponomics made it easier just to draft LBs lower in the draft and cycle them through as players left in free agency or got hurt.

I wouldn’t take Johnson off. I’d take one of the safeties off and have Johnson play their position.

The Ravens D has faced about 1 good offense in the last 10 weeks, and they allowed 30+ points and lost the game. I’m not at all worried about Allen and the offense doing their part this weekend. And I’m optimistic that having our 2 best LBs healthy will make this a much more manageable match-up for the defense than the last go around.

I would also be interested in Home/Road splits for the Ravens O & D this year.

They are 6-3 on the road this season.

The Houston win was their best road win and the Cleveland loss was their worst road loss.
