Buffalo Bills Divisional: (3) Baltimore at (2) Buffalo; Sunday 1/19 @ 6:30 PM ET, CBS

Obviously I hope he is back with the team soon but a personal matter that still has him away from the team at this point in the season must be pretty serious so if he needs more time I hope he takes it. The game is just that, a game. I hope the best for him and everything he has going on.

I'm with Greg here. I think Anarumo is one of the best defensive minds in the business. He got the axe because they gutted the talent on that side of the ball.

Thank God. I know this year didn't go as planned, but my biggest fear was that the Bengals would keep him longterm and find a way to keep the trio of Burrow, Chase and Higgins together. Now, I just need Higgins to leave, and the Bengals will be back on equal footing.

I keep reading the thread title as WCGW (r/whatcouldgowrong, from my terminally online days). It's still kinda apt, because I'm 100% confident we win this game. Never met a rookie QB I'd bet on against McDermott and Nix will not be the first

I am really growing to dislike that other teams are allowed to interview coaches that are still coaching. Can you all please f*** off until our season is done? Thanks
Just build in a freeze until after the super bowl .. then everyone has access to everyone.

Definitely going to be strength on strength on Sunday.

Wonder if they called illegal hands to the face on that play 🤔

Great play caller != great head coach.
Counter-argument to that logic -> Mike McDaniel

There are loads of guys that were great as coordinators that were flops as head coaches. That is the big challenge when hiring guys because the job description for a head coach is very different than that of a coordinator.

Character and prior mentorship are big pieces to it and way more than if they are a good play caller on game days.

Bears requesting an interview with Brady as well. That's an interesting gig. A promising young QB with some nice pieces already set. Dammit. Brady isn't going to be here next year, is he?

I could see these ties to Williams going either way. It could mean that Brady wants to go there because he knows Williams. Or, it gives him knowledge that means he stays the heck away from him.

Brady got interviewed for openings last year. I won't be shocked if he's back next year.

In terms coordinators, I could see Brady being looked at as a promising candidate just under Ben Johnson. He will be sought after by teams that lose out in not hiring Ben.

For his own sake, he should think long and hard about taking a HC job with a poorly run organization. His Carolina experience as OC will hopefully inform him.

That is why Ben Johnson is still in Detroit and people are saying that there is zero chance that Johnson takes the Jets job.

My guess is that Brady would be like Johnson and be very picky about the job he takes.

Plus, he likely has seen what has happened to Daboll who has a GM who he had a prior working relationship with and that has been a huge challenge.

Whats this in reference to? I only see the responding post.

I agree, just stating where I feel Brady is in terms of coaching candidates and the types of candidates out there.

I don't know what the top-8 shade lingo means, but the D line has always been ass in the playoffs during the Josh Allen era. Denver has a great O line in regards to pass protection. This is going to be a tough game, especially going up against their pass rush. Usually, the team that dominates the LOS wins. Luckily, we have Allen and they have a rookie QB.

One of the 8 (or 16) best 1-technique DTs in the game.

That's why Aaron referred to DaQuan Jones pre- and post-injury last year.

Bruce Nolan keeps talking about how DT (and DL in general) will be the big need this offseason that a lot of fans won't want to talk about because it isn't sexy and it is a position that they have thrown a lot of draft picks and FA dollars at over the years with less than stellar results.

But, I am all for getting a big 1-tech DT early in the draft.

I’ve been on the DT train since Sweat last draft.
