What an exciting period, NJD is really passing/breaking into the zone like a champ right now. They just need to bury those chances.

Can't believe they're playing this well and uptempo..

The Zajac line and Nico line were fantastic so far.

Subban needs to watch out on those shots, almost had another shot hit skates and go the other way (like the earlier 2 on 0)

Collectively skating well enough to mitigate most shortcomings so far but you have to think the Avs will capitalise on one of those breakdowns eventually if we don't tighten up.

Simmonds badly needs to simplify his game. He's been a non-factor lately.

If we're going to score Coleman looks more likely than most, hard not to love the way he steps up and sets the tone.

Oh ****! I think the trivia is Mike Condon.

Unless someone's done it since then?

He played 55 games and started 51 in his first ever NHL season in 15-16.

Mike Condon?

I remember a Goaltender by the name of Condon who got undressed by Bratt in the shootout.

Is that the same guy or a different Condon?

Forgive me if I'm ignorant.

Yep this game won't go well if NJ doesn't continue playing the way they are playing because the Avs are really looking good as well.

Kudos to the goalies in the 1st..

Annoying that the Avs haven't gotten called for anything. I guess they're the teacher's pets because there were several obvious penalties that weren't called including one where the player looked at the refs expecting a call. f***ing disgusting.

Why is it that we never seem to have a "home ice advantage" for penalty calls yet play in a number of buildings that do?

I wish I could smack that player in the face for giving that look to the Ref.

I mean "Shut the f up and play!" is what I say.

I can't remember if he was the one Bratt undressed in the shootout, but that's him.

He played 55 games as a rookie for the Canadiens in 15-16, when Carey Price was out almost the whole year. He played in Ottawa after that, and now he's down in the AHL.

That was a horrible line change that lead to Severson being a pud and getting a penalty

Was there a time limit on it? I think Evgeni Nabokov and Steve Mason both did.
The most recent.

Which had to have been Condon.

Although, maybe it is Hellebuyck? He played 26 games in 15-16, then 56 games in 16-17. Would he have still been a rookie in 16-17 after 26 games the year before?

No, the cut off is 25 games or 6 or more in two straight years.
