I actually thought Zacha looked pretty good tonight. He’s holding the puck more this season, stopping, reversing direction, skating into open areas and making plays instead of throwing it away. He’s more patient. Defensively, he was out there a lot against the Mackinnon line and handled himself okay. Pavel Zacha is not the problem on this team. The fact he can go from center to wing makes him a useful swing man. He’s a decent asset; not a star okay and not going to put up 60 points any time soon but a useful player and an asset.

He’s young he’s inexperienced and he really wants to project a composed demeanor to impress the boss and ownership. I’ll give him a pass. My guess is when he talks to Shero tomorrow he expresses his true feelings.

LOL love or hate Hynes at least he'd show a little more fire with a play like that. Same with Pete for that matter. But as long as he doesn't try to muzzle Simmonds and guys who are fired up about that I guess it's not a huge deal.

The teams should have a channel to criticize bad refs privately. I think the real issue is lack of accountability for the refs.

A shield from assault? yes.
But from words? NO. (especially when you make a lousy call)
That’s my bugaboo is the refs ruining games and the various leagues turning a blind eye. Sometimes you wonder if the refs bet on the game it’s so bad. The call on the kickoff in the HOU - BUF game was almost a fiasco tonight.

The team doesn't look as sharp without those two.
Missed it live but just finished the DVR. Second period was rough but I thought they did okay considering J&J were out of the lineup. Can’t really complain. They gave an honest effort against a skilled team.
The 4th goal was just a f***ing disgrace but considering the score and time remaining, I’m not gonna get all worked up about it. Not worth it and I’m glad Nas bit his tongue. Last thing we need is the refs collectively shitting on the team moving forward.
Hopefully the team is healthier for Tuesday. It’d be nice to finally see a win in the old threads.

Nas was livid on the bench after the review on the goal didn't go our way. It looked like he said "f*cking joke!" He absolutely showed passion and anger there. I'd rather have him do that kind of stuff on the bench and to the refs instead of on a post game interview to the media that most people don't even care about.
Look at all the times Torts has complained about the refs....has anything changed? Nope and he got fined for it. So why waste your breath at that moment and possibly your money when it won't get anywhere.

i am all but convinced the NFL is compromised. Billions of dollars in legal betting and you're telling me someone isn't on the take? no way... especially if you watch all of sudden the NFL reffing went from bad to horrific in one year? I'm not buying it..

Gusev has 88 shots in his first NHL season ever. Nico has 75 shots. Zajac’s offense has completely dried up, I don’t expect much production from him at his age. Zacha has 47 shots. We have 4 defensemen with more goals than him. Stinky.
Seriously, I don’t even know how you can defend him anymore. The guy is allergic to shooting and even when playing on our top line, he still racks up donuts on the stat sheet.
