Clearly it's an acceptable play now to do. I see no reason why it shouldn't be in the game plan going forward if they are going to allow it.

Well they should have gotten rid of the trapezoid years ago when Bobby Clarke admitted that he pushed for it to give the Flyers an advantage against Brodeur and DiPietro. It's time to do away with the Trapezoid.
Marty is no longer playing.
Enough of this.
i missed the game can i get a recap from somebody.
Avs fan here, and not intending to troll whatsoever but genuinely curious:Zacha without a single shot on goal in 20 minutes of ice time. Ben Street had 3 in under 10 minutes. Can’t score if you never shoot.
Again ignoring his assist on Boqvists goal...Zacha without a single shot on goal in 20 minutes of ice time. Ben Street had 3 in under 10 minutes. Can’t score if you never shoot.

What's Zacha's deal? What's the role he's carving out for himself and/or role he's being used in? A bunch of my buddies who are Oilers fans continuously bring him up as a player they'd like to target but, naturally, I always let them know they don't have anything worthwhile to offer except for the outrageous.
Is the skill not there? Because whenever I watch him play (and granted, it isn't a lot), he looks real good and real strong on the puck making power moves to the net.Bottom 6 center who is responsible defensively and a high end PKer.
It’s a let down from his draft position for sure, but it is still a useful player.

It's definitely there. It just never comes out with any sort of consistency. He'll have games where he dominates and you think "this is what he needs to do all the time." And then for some reason it disappears. I'm anxious to see what he does with a different coach bc it was obvious him and Hynes weren't on the same page.Is the skill not there? I don't see Zacha being a top 6 player anywhere. He just isn't impactful enough offensively and is not consistent enough. He is showing he is an elite on the PK which is good, but he is suited for a bottom 6 role and at this point realistically I wouldn't expect anything more. It's definitely there. Oh, how could I forget his secondary assist on the PP? I hope he keeps racking up those assists to boost his trade value.Again ignoring his assist on Boqvists goal...
I get what you're doing since Zacha has apparently been your target but Nico, Gusev, and Zajac all had as many shots COMBINED as Street but you chose to leave that out...
I much rather Zacha in my bottom 6 then Miles Wood

Well I mean you're complaining about shots from a AHL call up and comparing him to Zacha. What about Goose, Zajac, and Nico all TOTALING the same number of shots as Street or are you just continuing the obsession over Zacha?Oh, how could I forget his secondary assist on the PP?
