I think Boedker would be a nice fit here in NJ. He should be someone we target.

If you want him now, then Larsson or Severson will be coming to AZ. Another words, Boedker won't be traded until January (when he can renegotiate a new contract and his trade value increases because of a much anticipated career year) unless a good RHD comes back (now).

Or don't you understand when I posted that he is not likely to be traded until January unless OEL gets a pairing partner coming back? Or perhaps you don't understand what went on with his latest contract negotiations? Mikkel wanting term, while GMDM wanted to give him a 2 year and instead they settle on a 1 year prove it contract doesn't sound like Boedker wants out of Arizona! Isn't it surprising the number of players who left the Coyote Organization, keep coming back? But thank you for your condescending post, at least you replied.

The situation could change in January, I just don't think it makes sense for the Coyotes to trade Boedker at the moment. Not right after he had a fluke injury (which shouldn't hamper any of his on ice skills) and season ending surgery, while riding a 4 game goal streak, and not being out for the last 3 seasons. He is over due for a career season. The biggest knock on him is that he doesn't shoot enough, only 79 shot attempts in 45 games.

Just from our experience with Parise, I wouldn't be happy about the one year contract if you want him to stay in Arizona. That doesn't look like good news to me. A one year contract that takes a player straight to UFA, hasn't exactly been favorable with examples of players staying where they are. We've even had a few others in the past, though most of the others were coming off a one year contract awarded in arbitration. Holik, Niedermayer and Gomez come to mind.

I don't think it guarantees that he's walking after this year, I just wouldn't be confident he stays though. Not because of the organization, just because of the one year contract before UFA. Those almost always end up bad.

Though I hope he chooses to re sign with your team.

He's not wrong half of the time and the reason he's late with his info is because he makes sure his sources are solid before reporting something. There's a lot of times he injects his opinion but that's not reporting, he's just giving his perspective. He's by far the best sports reporter for the Devils and maybe in the area.

He's not wrong half of the time and the reason he's late with his info is because he makes sure his sources are solid before reporting something. There's a lot of times he injects his opinion but that's not reporting, he's just giving his perspective. He's by far the best sports reporter for the Devils and maybe in the area.
